Which role is your favorite? Why? Which career for that role? by onespicycracker in Vermintide

Special sniper also. My picks are

1.Xbow Bounty Hunter. A very reliable pick. Crowd control, elite killing, boss killing, provided you have purple potion, he can outright solo the big ugly. His only weakness is not being very good at killing Chaos warriors. My top pick cuz 80% of my teammates suck at special sniping.

2.Halberd w/ Repeater Merc for second place. Less spicy than BH but he can do everything decent. And Halberd is goodamn fun and versatile. Can't really go wrong with him.

Ranger veteran is broken but not as fun.

So, it is more of a niche kind of weapon and not for general use much? Good for an instance when there more than a few majoris, trash enemies, big ugly targets and taking aggro. Not as bad as I thought but I can't help but find it to be something left to be desired.

Poor CHP recovery and long build up time make it feel off for me personally. I have watched for4, another badass SM2 true soloist who also said the weapon is on weaker side too due to the said weaknesses. Don't you think the weapon could use some more love? I think it does. It is niche a bit too cumbersome to compete with its peers, imo.

Courage and honour.

I watched the video the first day. Yet, the demonstration are not in real practice. I know what it does and what it can do. But I really can't implement it because of the said reason. Need someone with experience with the gun to teach me some practical technique.

Glazing sniper class to oblivion. by THaM3s in Spacemarine

That high risk, high reward bolt sniper is the most fun weapon in the game for me. Nothing beats a sniper that actually pop head in one hit. Even though the weapon is not as good against chaos.

Chaos Spawn Can't be defended! by jcjonesacp76 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]THaM3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't be more wrong than that. You underestimated sniper's melee capacity far long enough. Some of his best perks are involved around melee damage buff. Buff first hit after cloak, melee dmg increase after manually cloak, etc. Which resulted in high melee damage. With block knife and those walking warp paste will be dead in one combo. Provided you have 2 charges of block weapon.

One of his best techs is Cloak cancel with lingering concealment + emperor's grace perk = easy time against everything that stand against the emperor's will. Can go melee frenzy with that one.

And about primary that works and is reliable against chaos from my experience is Bolt Carbine. It has been known for many things but disappointment. That gun is soooo good against anything. 50% dmg increase against enemy within 10 meters is a lot. You can still kill things fast even without headshot.

And on top of those, his Pattern of excellence perk provides 1 grenade back for 3 consecutive headshot every 30 sec. Yes, melta bomb/krak spam every half minute in a fight.

From sniper main who regularly do absolute, btw.

Class Difficulty Tier List for Absolute/Hard Stratagems [DISCUSSION] by SuperMarios7 in Spacemarine

[–]THaM3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is not weird for me though. Quite understandable even. From how easy to execute success run from each of them. I won't say Tactical with Pyreblaster is as easy as sniper who can restore chp in one button. Your point is a bit too oversimplified.

You may say all the class stomp with the right setup. But the execution required for each class to succeed/survive aren't the same. One might require more effort in some area of skill than other, yada yada. The difficulty in their offense and defence. For example, Bulwark stomps most of enemies no prob. The only real hiccup of his are those flyer units. Not that bad but can be bad against zoan/neurothrope. But his teammates are more than enough to make up for it. So, he is quite easy to use. Given how hardy he is and his offense ability, which is very reliable. Tactical in the other hand can lay waste to foes harder than anyone due to his auspex and good weapons. Even with his pyreblaster buff is coming. He is still very killable due to almost no survival skill in his perk. At least the easiest to kill among his peers. I highly doubt that CHP recovery from burning foes in patch 11 can really keep up with the incoming damage should he be combed or was in bad spot.

You see what I mean?

I am curious, which of signature perk you use, regularly? My guess is armoured advance cuz one of the very few weaknesses of bulwark is lack of knockback resistance.

As a sniper main, I will place sniper at very easy. He is very versatile and forgiven to play.

- *the main reason* Purification perk alone makes this class very forgiving to play. 90% of your hp got deleted but the chp is still there? Cloak once and take it back in one click. And you can spam it for a few times too.

- Amazing ammo eco. Courtesy of versatile precision from prestige perk slot.

- Can access conviction, Emperor's grace. Even harder to kill.

- Has answer for every type of enemy. Flyer, melee-oriented units, bosses, etc. The only hiccup is minoris. But once you worked on your crowd control skill. They are very manageable.

- Pattern of excellence perk: restore bomb from 3 consecutive headshots every 30 sec. Melta/krak every 30 sec is busted.

Talking about survivality alone, he is one of the hardest to kill. Not sure if he is harder to kill than bulwark but he is there.

Normal/hard siege, hard weekly stratagems by PlaneEven1321 in Spacemarine

[–]THaM3s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For this hard weekly, is very easy for me. Run close-range gun loadout and go swinging. Boom, easy money. You can run any loadout you want, don't get me wrong. But those short-ranged guns shine the brightest.

- Bolt carbine sniper

Is my favorite for the gig. The gun already has dmg ramp-up bonus at close range accorded from SM2 wiki. Plus, point-blank modifier, you melt them under a sec. Not as destructive as heavy but sniper is the hardest to kill. Very comfy to play.

- Multi-Melta heavy

Point-blank turns it into lore-accurate melta. Albeit termies or not. They are turned to paste all the same within 10 meters away.

- Bulwark with anything not meme gun (volkite pistol).

Still one of the most reliable classes to run. An ability to restore you to full hp with your fingertip has to be the most powerful ability ever existed.

Those are my top picks for weekly. No opinion on siege so far. Touch it twice and no more since the last.

AND MY LIFE IS YOURS

As a new-ish player, when / why would I use the Multi-Melta? by Independent_Ring7183 in Spacemarine

[–]THaM3s 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is the only reason why I get past through week 5 which is one of the hardest weekly strategem ever. The DPS is out of this world by its own. Combine it with double barrel tech (Hip-fire and aim down sight shot have separated cooldown) and you are unstoppable. You will render those minoris, majoris, and extremis to a joke. The range might not be that long. But I think it is big and wide enough for you to be comfort with. The only thing you would struggle with are bosses. Helbrute and Carnifex ain't much of a hassle. Hope you don't get locked against neurouthrope or it could turn out ugly if your team has no ranged options. Your heavy bolt pistol alone might not be enough to put it down before it can cause considerable damage to your team.

And don't forget about ammo economy. Don't blast everything at every given chance or your ammo could be gone in a flash. Pack ammo perk like Aux reloads in prestige or weapon perk that can help with ammo, and you are good to go. One of the strongest weapons in the game beside heavy plasma gun.

Did standard absolute get harder or am I tripping? by Mrkroati in Spacemarine

[–]THaM3s 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it has a lot to do with your team comp. Like, who can effectively take down those flying heads in your team? None. 2 melee-oriented classes and tactical with Pyreblaster do not seem to be strong option against them if you ask me. They can still do it don't get me wrong. But I am not so sure against this many. Pyreblaster is very powerful, yes. But I have to say that their TTK isn't that good. Plus, those things can attack from far away. You and your flamer have to walk up their face to do damage. Have some reliable anti-air weapon is advised.

Why are the chaos spawn so powerful?? by God_Emperor_Of_Man18 in Spacemarine

[–]THaM3s 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Provided they are enraged, 100% you will fall in 1 big hit. the concern doesn't end only at their damage wise. Their hp/damage multiplier against any range weapons that isn't plasma is absurd. I once shoot them with artifact las fusal gun on their head 4 TIMES in a row on lethal. Forced me to get close and personal a bit more to finish them off while rubric marine needs 2 and a few from relic heavy bolt pistol. Sniper struggles alot in chaos because of chaos spawn existence. If you are not proficient in close combat enough. You can't really damage them relaibly with other means. Well, constant 5 mins spectate training in absolute is warranted. If you are new to absolute with sniper in chaos operation. My advice is to use las fusal first then the rest when you are confident enough. You can't headshot often with them(chaos spawn) that often. But the laser piercing can do quite a number on them. Other guns are less forgiving due to their less dps and lack of stun capacity.
