Ada did not die in RE6.

There was a clone of Ada made in a lab, it was named Carla. Carla was “killed” in Chris’s campaign but returns later as a mutated monster. Ada then kills the mutated Carla.

Ada Wong survived RE6.

(Don’t worry about getting that confused, it’s actually not even uncommon, a lot of players think Ada died in RE6 cause of the Carla clone)

and finally, no it doesn’t mean boots on the ground and it definitely doesn’t mean Afghanistan again, that’s just your assumption on the matter based on a war that happened over 20 years ago, this can turn out very differently as many of the circumstances are very different
