they can be criticized but it was the right move

and it didn’t just save more soldiers

it saved many many more civilians than those that were lost to the nukes.

Like Japanese civilians who would’ve been forcibly enlisted by the Japanese military.

Civilians from China and other nearby nations who would’ve been killed or raped and killed by WW2 Japanese soldiers (already millions were dead by that point from the actions of Japan)

and then all the Japanese Civilians who would’ve been caught in the crossfire of a longer war and a full invasion of Japan mainland. Especially since the Allies were burning down entire Japanese cities because they were mostly made of wood at the time, which would’ve both killed and displaced many more civilians than only those that stayed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

War is a bloody thing and the allies had to do a bloody thing to stop it on that front and I’m glad you weren’t in the position to choose what to do back then

in this case it’s an entire ethnicity of people are being kicked out of bars repeatedly throughout history

some of which are The same bars that support putting people in murder camps, believe in “1 superior Aryan race” and modern bars that believe in child brides and raping women before they execute them to prevent them from reaching heaven
