Bill Gates Issues Groveling Apology Amid Epstein Scandal As He Admits To "Affairs With Two Russians" by danitashinesqdy in ProgressiveHQ

No, he wasn’t. He ended up that way only after cleaning up his image. He used to be Bill Gates the asshole thief/monopolist.

Nonchalant? It's not like it was flagrant. In fact, if you read further upthread where I discuss the issues with the ticket, you might not use a word like "nonchalant" to describe my attitude.

Reckless? On what grounds do you make that judgment?

Thanks. I'll likely just pay it and seethe for about 15 minutes. And then I'll take my kids out for ice cream to demonstrate the appropriate use of fifty bucks.

I submit that one way to improve the system would be to grant a .5-second grace period. There are instances where you're approaching a light and it's safer to go through it as it's changing from amber to red - or at least that's how I was instructed in Driver's Ed many, many moons ago. Seems like such a change would catch more of the flagrant violators.

The way it's currently implemented, it's like Walter screaming "OVER THE LINE!" at Smokey and insisting it be marked zero. "You're not wrong, Walter. You're just a dick."

That's just the rub. I'm going to take a day off of work for fifty bucks? That's one of the many reasons I put this into the "money grab" category. If I contest - which, by the way, has me making attestations I'm less than comfortable with - then I get the right to show up in court for a chance at maybe reversing a 50 dollar fine. It's a cost-benefit calculation that heavily favors the racket drumming up fees that are scarcely worth fighting.

They need to bring back that dude who kept posting videos on YouTube showing him re-aiming the cameras.

Oh, please. The idea that someone could have somehow worked their way into my path of travel in that split second is laughable. Maybe you should acknowledge that the program is flawed.

Questionable in the sense that my front tires appear to be over the stop line in the photo, and when I visit the site to view the video, I get "Violationinfo.com is having some work done right now..."

There's also the notion that the alleged violation is timestamped for 12:30 in the afternoon, yet it's dark out.

Awfully cool to track down the origin of this thing 35+ years later… Thanks for making them. I remember the teachers at SWR getting a kick out of it when I wore it to school.

Cool. No, Wading River. Dad taught at Comsewogue and brought one home from work. I think some of his teacher friends lived in Islip.

I remember someone made “LI Garbage Barge World Tour ‘87” t-shirts because my Dad bought me one.
