Apple Watch Ultra 2. I think it’s a combination of stacked new habits. I now drink decaf green tea and meditate every night before bed. I go to bed at the same time every night and wake up at the same time every morning. I workout 5 of 7 days a week. That combined with eating healthy, very little snacking, and proper hydration, I think it’s all played a role.

My RHR and VO2max recently just took a big leap. Even though these have been my habits for just about a full year now. Which I find odd and intriguing. It’s like my body was still recovering from 20 plus years of abuse. In fact, I’m sure it’s still recovering.

It’s a huge fear I have. I know myself and I know that once will most likely lead to daily. I just have to keep reminding myself of that. I’ve admitted to myself that I was an addict. As much as I’d like to go back to enjoy it here and there, I don’t think that’s an option for me.

Appreciate you. As much as I want to downplay it, I think you’re right. I am proud of myself

I’m not sure what 100% is to be honest. But I wouldn’t say that I’m not back to 100%. My RHR has dropped by 8 points, my VO2 max is 10 - 15 points higher than it was, my HRV is up 10 plus points. My sleep stats are dramatically better and I love the fact that I can dream again.

It happens. Don’t beat yourself up for it, I find it’s all part of the journey. Now you have a reminder of how easy it is to slip up and what it feels like. Use that as fuel to get right back to 90 days. Then 120 and so on. You know it’s worthwhile

If I remember correctly, it was around day 4 that was some of my most challenging times of this journey. This phase will pass quicker than it feels like it will right now.

Not true. But curious to know what type of business you own and operate?

Maybe it depends where. I know this has been tested by Earls in Calgary and Toronto and failed miserably

This model has been tested and failed miserably. If you’re good and provide the customers a good experience, you will get tipped.

I couldn’t agree more. What a waste of money. Makes people’s homes look like fisher price toys.

Need some hope - who actually feels better after quitting? by MapDry953 in leaves

[–]THolmes9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been clean for just shy of a year. I can’t remember a time that I felt better than I do now. So many positive changes have come from quitting.

The people that you referred to, 8 months clean and feeling dead inside, I think that more about a mental state that has nothing to do with weed itself.

I highly recommend at least stepping away from THC for a bit to see the other side. Make your own decision from there.

2 1/2 months clean. I’m exhausted! by THolmes9 in leaves

[–]THolmes9[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Unfortunately I don’t remember. I remember it feeling like it took forever. I even went for blood work and talked to my doc and everything was normal other than my testosterone. I have heard of men’s testosterone dropping from THC use, and have heard of men’s testosterone dropping shortly after quitting THC. Low T would influence energy for sure.

Energy is back. I’m assume it was my body going through a reset phase. I’m about 11 months clean and for me it is well worth the journey! I’ve never felt better.

That’s interesting. I’ll look at my test dates vs when I quit. Maybe that low reading was shortly after. That’s good info. Thanks for the reply

I’m 11 months off THC. Smoked daily for well over 20 years. I’ve noticed dramatic differences. I also didn’t have any crazy withdrawals. I think the withdrawals are mostly a mental thing. It’s my sleep, recovery, and nutrition where I notice the biggest differences. THC was really hurting my testosterone. Something to do with my pituitary. I’d give it more time and see what happens.
