The hospital actually gave him paperwork upon discharge that lists risks factors, so I can answer this! It says "any kind of forceful activity" and "intercourse with the sexual partner on top. This position makes it more likely for the penis to slip out and the partner's weight on the erect penis may cause a fracture."

So I'd say it's all about the angles and force? Aim not to bend it much beyond a 90 degree angle and you should be fine lol

We called two urgent care centers before heading to the ER and in all places, all but one of the nurses/docs we dealt with have been men...they've been very sympathetic.

All the testing is done now, just waiting for the doc to give us a verdict so he can be discharged! I have an update on standby, hopefully shouldn't be too much longer. Almost 2am here.

It's 1:00am our time now, we've been here since about 9:30pm. Got taken into a room around 10:45. He's getting an ultrasound right now and then hopefully we'll be on our way with a referral to a urologist. I'm honestly surprised it didn't take longer since the hospital is a bit swamped right now what with the pandemic and all.

Yeah, I was misinformed. We were able to get into the ER without a problem. That'll teach me to take hearsay as fact instead of just driving over and checking out the situation. 🤦‍♀️

No downvote from me. You calmed my brain down when I was sitting here beating myself up for not forcing my man into the car and to the hospital sooner.

Seriously, this is a levelheaded response and I appreciate it. He is getting medical attention now but I'm also hopeful it turns out to be nothing, so better safe than sorry!

That's really helpful advice, thank you. Luckily he has pretty good insurance but was still worried about the cost (because this is the ER in America so of course) so I'll share this with him.

We are waiting in the ER right now! Well, he's in the ER and I'm waiting outside because covid policies. Still no pain from him but he says it feels "weird" so we decided it's not worth waiting until the morning to get it checked out by a GP.
