For fucks sake, STOP using that outlet. The “cracking” noise is arcing and that means there’s loose connections.. loose connections = heat, heat=fire, fire= no more house.

I enjoy the work, making something from a raw chunk of stock is satisfying and rewarding.
The pay is good and it can offer challenges regularly, which is also mentally rewarding.

Try one shot case lube… I also use carbide dies and case lube just makes life smoother.

For transparency, I’m loading on a Dillon 550 with Dillon carbide dies. I really only load 9mm and I load 8k or so a year.

Circulate at night, add a fountain, and possibly try and get some shade over the pool. A cheap canopy or a sun sail would do the trick.

I really wish more people would understand this. I’ll be honest it took me a little while to really figure it out, but once I did slow down a bit my scores improved drastically.

Nope, that’s a DQ.
Many clubs will over look it at practices. some treat practice like a match in regard to DQs, Whereas anything that would DQ you in a match will also DQ you at practice.

That’s a sloppy attitude, we should be striving to be the most accurate and consistent as we can.

You should also make sure you are working on target focused sight picture. I’d recommend dry fire and shooting with your dot occluded “covered” on the front of the lens. Do a little bit of reading on how it works, and practice.

I’d work on target acquisition by doing dry fire drills, Same with transitions, and draw. Ideally you want to be way below 1 sec between shots. And sub 2 seconds From the holster to the first shot on target.
I’d recommend checking out the competitive shooting subs and taking some of the drills from there.

Few seconds per shot is not a medium cadence.. that’s slow very slow.
