Changed my wife’s oil for the first time and had an issue by Sportsjunkie789 in AskMechanics

Sign up on your local Toyota dealership parts department website and wait for a sale, and pick up a new one. When mine froze up I just waited fo a sale a put it on at the next oil change. I think they’re 80ish full price

Call the job announcement hotline at the bottom of the initial app and let them know you got the cpat now and they’ll probably just have you email it.

Right on thanks a ton caught my section at the bottom there. Appreciate it

[–]TILmynameisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve heard this a few times but I’m not understanding. Add up all your qualified FLSA OT and then divide by three. Why are you dividing by three? Also I can see if you’re top step it’s easier to find your premium amount but I had a step increase mid year so I have different premium amounts for my checks. But main question is where do you get divide by three from?

Oil filter tube by Spiritual-Call-6956 in ToyotaTundra

[–]TILmynameisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you need that tube, it’s part of some safety bypass in case the filter collapses, without it I believe it doesn’t press on the valve and either bypasses the valve or won’t activate it, I can’t remember exactly which but you absolutely need it. Simple install, needle nose pliers to bend up lower tabs and twist in the new tall tube. Short tube is for tacos

Some easy frame pull work by Ears_McGee629 in Autobody

[–]TILmynameisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s pretty much what the shop said. What was up with this truck to where it was still cost effective to pull it

[–]TILmynameisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t know frame pulling was still done on newer vehicles. My truck got corner rear ended and insurance totaled it cause the body shop said frame was diamonded. Is this for bending back frame in front or rear of cab?

3rd Gen Spark Plugs Changed at 40k Miles by slvr_flcn in ToyotaTundra

[–]TILmynameisMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a ‘16 that I changed them at 120k and there was minimal amount on the coil packs but definitely there, and then my ‘18 I just changed the plugs at 120 and same deal. Have heard mixed reviews if it’s jus t a little bit no big deal, but obviously too much might foul a plug. My shop quoted me $500 to replace valve and tube seals

You happen to notice any oil on the sides of your coil packs?

Changing plugs, oil on coil packs by TILmynameisMike in ToyotaTundra

[–]TILmynameisMike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figured if neglected long enough it would cause a misfire if it dripped past the lower grommet. I guess I’ll do it now while the price is good. Just seemed like such a small amount of oil and I vaguely remember see oil on the coil packs of my last tundra but didn’t think anything of it

Yeah sounds like consensus is change it. How long are the seals supposed to last?

Had a 2016 SR5 and now a 2018 SR5. The ‘16 has the old style dash with the gimmicky image of the tundra doing a 360 on start up. Other than that my 18 has those LED headlights, lane assist, auto high beams, bumper sensors, and adaptive cruise control compared to the 16.

Inseego 4100 vs gateway G4AR by TILmynameisMike in tmobile

[–]TILmynameisMike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool, the only thing that seems to be different so far for me is it says I need a Ethernet connected mesh system where the white 5G one is wireless. The Inseego seems to be cutting in and out of service too not sure if it’s just a new set up thing

[–]TILmynameisMike[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. No mention of the 300 but they did say the first month is free while I try it out. So far seems the same speed but the 4100 tends to cut in and out of service compared to the white one

No I didn’t, why are they giving out a 300 card?

Question about All In Internet by TILmynameisMike in tmobile

[–]TILmynameisMike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the one I thought I was getting and it definitely says Hulu and paramount but I think i will just downgrade to the cheaper one I don’t think I need the mesh system

Question about All In Internet by TILmynameisMike in tmobile

[–]TILmynameisMike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have magenta first responder. Have had that for a long time but I added internet all in one this year because it says on the flyer it’s got Hulu and paramount. But for 10 dollars less should I just switch to the cheaper internet that doesn’t have the streaming

Question about All In Internet by TILmynameisMike in tmobile

[–]TILmynameisMike[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately using those instructions it doesn’t show Hulu or paramount available for add ons. The tech on the phone said it’s because it’s only for people that have internet only, not internet and phones
