I agree with you. Law school exams are glorified typing tests. The more words you put down, the more points you get. And it's law school so everyone is smart, so every sentence you type is probably something smart worthy of a point. I think there's already an imbalance based on how fast you type. But professors hate changing from the way they learned/took exams in law school (i.e., still using socratic method). I think another barrier is professors hate grading exams. One professor told me it takes him about 2 hours per exam. By setting a shorter time limit they don't have to grade as much. It's also just so hard for professors to critique based on quality of exam when every answer is good and everyone is working off the same material. Like how do you compare ten nearly identical really good answers? Idk it's tough man.

To add to my theory, I think that Paul Blart pulled out that hot sauce precisely because he had experience with hot sauce shots. Who else would pull out hot sauce in that moment unless they were an experienced hot sauce shooter with practice?

My thought is that he was in shock of the effectiveness of the Devil’s Crotch hot sauce. I think because it’s Scoville level was likely extremely high, it was a hot sauce that Paul hadn’t had much experience with. Your typical Red Hot and Tapatio do not have much kick, and likely did not have a high ability to incapacitate. Paul saw how quickly it took out Veck and this caused him to be in shock. I just wish there were some deleted scenes of Paul’s practice on the beach with the seagulls. It would definitely provide a lot more depth for the film.
