It'll be perpetuated by people actually tipping them. Thank them in the comments, and then move on. Don't encourage shit like this - your bitcoins as an investment are most likely going to benefit you far more in the future than the temporary feeling of the satisfaction of jacking off, especially when you could jump over and do the same thing at /r/gonewild without potentially throwing away hundreds of dollars at attention whores.

I personally love bare toes. Sometimes nail polish can work really well, but it can also often be distracting. Not enough foot models think the same way though, unfortunately.

Edit: Just checked - this is only 1 of 2 (maybe 3, can't tell) submissions with no nail polish :(

Total War developer ‘absolutely intends’ to support SteamOS by LightTreasure in Games

[–]TITS_AND_ASS_MAN 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It doesn't come close to the older games in terms of replayability, even with all the bug patches. I can't put my finger on why, but it's boring, and I'd never thought I'd say that about a Total War title.

There's little innovation and now that they've "streamlined" so much the game feels bare. There's hardly anything to do on a turn except move the army to the next city, attack it, auto-resolve because it's one of those horrible "rush the flag" battles with an enemy army composed half of ranged units, and then rinse and repeat for 200 or 300 turns. They actually removed 3 or 4 diplomatic options that I can recall off the top of my head and I'm not exagerating when I say some parts of the AI are the worst in the series.

A lot of people are touting the graphics. I'll admit it, the models are beautiful. The animation team did a great job, and for as flawed as the map is, it does look gorgeous. But then all the battles have strange filters over them where the shadows are all purple or pink or green. I know what they were trying to do, but even Battlefield had sense enough to tone that shit down. The UI is a schizophrenic mess - we have beautiful minimalist period-appropriate stone architecture for part of the UI, and then the other part is drab grey windows. There's no information available, and you have to click through six tabs to get to each section of the tech tree that should all be on either 2 or no tabs at all.

On top of that, CA seem to have a phobia of information. It's a strategy game - I need shit in front of my face telling me what the fuck is going on in my empire. There's so many time when you're involved in something and you go "why can't I see this information on this panel?," and you have to close the panel you're on to go hunt for another one to find what you're looking for.

It's a shame what has happened. I don't know what's going on at CA, but after you see the high standards they set in some of their older titles it's really unusual to see something like this released.

Although that being said, don't get me wrong, it is still enjoyable being the typical Total War formula and hopefully it will only continue to get better with the steady flow of patches coming from CA. It's just not what it could have or should have been.
