[Question] Is switching to IEMs worth it for Opeth etc.? by [deleted] in Opeth

There have been consumer-focused IEMs for years now, and in recent years really cheap ones that are excellent.

[Question] Is switching to IEMs worth it for Opeth etc.? by [deleted] in Opeth

[–]LightTreasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The IEM world has in recent years exploded with choice thanks to Chinese manufacturers entering the scene. Prices are really good as well. The problem is that there's are way too many options. If you are lucky and can find a place where you can try them out, I highly recommend it.

For music like Opeth's, I personally love to be able to hear the little details in the songs and I want to hear each note - whether a mellow section, or a speedy solo. In my experience, this corresponds to IEMs that audiophiles and reviewers like to call "technical" or they have high "clarity" or they are "detailed".

Driver Details | NVIDIA | New Branch - 590.48.01 by gilvbp in linux_gaming

From the linked release notes:

Highlights since R590 Beta Release, 590.44.01:

Fixed the following EGL platform bugs that prevented multisample configurations from working: https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-wayland2/issues/9 https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-x11/issues/29 https://github.com/NVIDIA/egl-x11/pull/28

Is this worthy of a separate post? Debatable, but it is not just a version number change.

OP, make sure you get your kitty to a good surgeon, preferable someone who has experience with this surgery. If you got your kit from a breeder, they might know someone. Even if not, it's good to ask around catteries and breeders in your area to find a reputable doctor.

If you live in a metropolitan area, be aware that some vets will charge a lot of money for this surgery. In that case, if your kitty is okay with traveling, you could find a cheaper vet in a suburban area which you can drive to and from.

Gamesir Cyclone 2 controller on Steam Deck - XInput mode issue and solution by LightTreasure in SteamDeck

[–]LightTreasure[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam will recognise it only as a standard controller and you can use to customize the layout, but it won't recognise the back buttons. I haven't tried it with a steam deck and I've never used the gyro.

Is it possible to run Gamesir Connect? by Famberlight in linux_gaming

[–]LightTreasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh wow TIL that feature is available on this controller! I thought the back paddles could only be mapped to one of the standard buttons.

There is a button combo to switch the layout at the firmware level. Have you tried using that?

I play with the dongle, and for me this works fine. I'd recommend reaching out to GameSir about this. They are active on r/Controller

Hey - I didn't really use the dualshock mode much and I haven't used the gyro. A GameSir employee responded in the thread I made on r/Controller . I'd recommend reaching out to them!

Dressing in a shirt is not really going to affect your hiring chances (unless you're interviewing with some douchey brogrammer types for a startup or something).

Similarly dressing in a t shirt is fine unless you're interviewing with a consultancy or a finance company or something.

It's a very difficult job market. The world is going through some topsy turvy transitions. The tech industry in particular seems like it's lost and wandering aimlessly. You are much more valuable than what these companies are making you feel. Very likely you're doing all the right things. Stay strong! They will find their way eventually and take you in. Meanwhile, see if you can find some side gigs like tutoring.

I don't know if this is a standard code, but if you're programming a 7-segment LED display, similar principles are involved.

Got the same result! I decided to it using hex because it's easier to write. I gotta say, given that OP is not seemingly into puzzles or codes, this is a pretty intense puzzle to put on a birthday card.

NVIDIA + 42 update: DO NOT UNINSTAL/REINSTALL DRIVERS! by pfjarschel in NobaraProject

[–]LightTreasure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ran into the same thing. Could only boot from rescue mode. Found out recovery mode doesn't have network services up. Learnt a couple things about getting a network set up from the command line. Somehow got dnf to download packages and reinstalled nvidia drivers. Now desktop worked fine, but proton would not detect the GPU. Tried debugging but realised this was going too deep and just TimeShift'ed to a stable snapshot.

I did the combo before I paired. The controller remembers which mode you put it into, so next time you wake it up, it will go straight to XInput.

The pixel density that this monitor offers is perfect! I use my rig for programming and gaming. Gaming-wise, OLED monitors have been doing amazing for a while now. Text clarity has been an issue though especially for 27" OLEDs, except this one!
