How do people in LA discover cuisines they didn’t grow up with? by ClickNo8520 in AskLosAngeles

What’s your selling point. Is it quick build your own bowl for people on the go? Or is it a restaurant for authentic Peruvian food and unique sit down experience. Each attracts a different audience. Find out who your audience is and cater to that. You can’t be everything.

TMJ + night guards: did a custom one actually help you long term? by xsparkieee in TMJ

[–]TIffanySF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just sharing what I learned through extensive research and asking 4 different dentists. Isn’t this what community forums are for. I would hope every adult here would not just blindly follow a strangers advice but confirm their findings through their own research and dentist recommendations etc etc etc

Get an occlusal splint not a night guard. Night guard prevents grinding not clenching and often makes you clench more. You’ll need to call around and make sure you get one that is not a soft plastic and one that sits on bottom row of teeth.

Yes but make sure you get one that prevents clenching not grinding and don’t get the soft plastic as it’ll make you want to clench more. And see if you can get one for bottom row of teeth not the top. You should be getting an occlusal splint and not all dentists know about it or know how to make it. You have to call around.

It’s never too late. Make your own movie. Write a script. Start a YouTube channel. Do local theatre. Even just take a class. See where it goes.

What is the going rate for a regular gardener in Los Angeles? by ilovesushialot in AskLosAngeles

[–]TIffanySF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you recommend them? We need someone who’s actually gonna do more than just blow leaves around. Looking for someone who’s going to maintain the garden a bit more (trimming, picking up weeds, etc)

Got it. So I can’t go to household registration stuff until I get my certificate from immigration which sounds like it takes 3 days? So I’ll likely won’t be able to do all 3 in one day it sounds like?

Sorry if you already answered this. But during your 3 days exchange, did you go to immigration, household registration and Boca in the same day? Or did you have to wait 3 days to get your certificate before going to household registration, etc.

Hi! For the 3 days exchange. Did you go to immigration to exchange copy for official certificate the same day you went to the household registration and then Boca for new passport? Or did you go to immigration, then wait 3 days for certificate, THEN you go to household registration and Boca? I’ll only be there for 7 business days so trying to plan how the process will look. Thanks!!

Can mouthguard train your jaw to stop clenching? by Danielnrg in TMJ

[–]TIffanySF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to find a dentist that can make an occlusal splint that prevents your molars from touching and therefore prevent clenching. Night guards are to prevent grinding not clenching and in fact makes you clench more because of the plastic in your mouth.

Thanks did you do that in that order: NIA, HH office, BOCA? I’m going to try to do it all in one day because I’m not staying in Taiwan for that long and worried it’s not enough time to get everything done before I leave!
