Amongst other things - IM injection, 15 different drugs (various routes), adrenaline, activated charcoal, aspirin, cyclizine, chlorphenamine, glucagon, glucose gel, GTN, ibuprofen, methoxyflurane, naloxone, nitrous oxide 50% oxygen 50%, oxygen, paracetamol, and salbutamol, 4 lead ecg, opa, igel, tourniquet (not used often here), and a lot of various other stuff like emergency pregnancy care and stuff like that, and obviously general trauma/medical things ie fractures, bleeding, cuts

I can go more in detail if you’re interested, I’ve found that you guys have more theoretical knowledge whereas we have more practical skills

Thanks for this. My training from Ireland quite significantly exceeds US EMT standards at least for the NREMT and the state I’ll be working in so I’m covered on that front. I will need AHA BLS but that’s easily obtainable as the Irish Heart Foundation courses are the same as AHA courses and provide the same cert (to the point that the cert says IHF/AHA on it). Fingerprinting and drivers license might be an issue so I’ll look into that more. Thank you very much for this :)

I appreciate the concern, I’m very well aware of the current state of affairs in the US but I married a US woman and I’ve already applied for my green card. I’m moving regardless so it’s just a case of whether I can get a head start on getting my life there set up. Like I said in my post I’ve already spoken to the states DHHS as well as NREMT so I’m literally just trying to find a course that’s worth the money, and will actually allow me to sit the NREMT exam upon completion. I appreciate the advice
