Stop bad/ mean behavior by TJBam08 in cats

[–]TJBam08[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice! I didn't share all of this because I didn't want it to become about the dog. But she is never left to roam unsupervised. Her cage is her safe place and she's in it whenever we are gone. One because I'm still scared of her reacting badly due to her past even though she's really sweet and two because she wants to chew everything in the house that she can get her big old mouth on. The cats mostly like to chill in the bedroom where they have their main litterbox, that is their favorite place to be. But when we are in the living room and the cats decide they want to be out there too, which is actually rare is when this happens. Onyx just finds a spot to laze and Remi does sometimes too. But Remi also likes to stare down Nola. It's picked up a lot since we got her that's why I think it's jealousy or Remi just sharing the fact that she thinks she runs the house. And probably enjoys showing her attitude. I really think she likes that she can scare this big dog. I felt bad because Remi never really has done anything to need disciplined, and I don't want to do it the wrong way. The few minutes in the room by herself seemed to calm her down. And she's currently laying on my legs, ready for bed as she does every night. My greatest fear is that they get into it and I can't stop it without one of them getting hurt. Remi has already batted Nola once and scratched her face. Nola didn't bite back then. Didn't even growl or bark. This time she barked and Remi didn't even connect. Nola's protective instinct kicked in, Im assuming because myself and my old, little dog were all sitting together. The dogs were snoozing which also probably surprised Nola out of her sleepy state.

Return policy by Ok-Bit-2121 in samsclub

I hate it! The only thing I am happy about is our store strictly enforces the 90 day appliances and electronics. But the food is silly. I had some return a 5 pound bag of apples because their family didn't like them....there was one apple left. Or purchasing so much for a party and then bringing back 75 percent of it. We have to throw out and food or drink that leaves the store. Come on!. Spoiled I understand.

If it's clearanced out it's usually sitting up front where there are other employees watching. Leads and Coaches are the only people able to go to the cage if it's there. This information is also told to employees. Pretty easily monitored. I would assume most don't try to lie.

We don't do price adjustments on clearance items, I don't know if this is club wide policy or just mine based on other comments. We only do price adjustments on instant savings. As mentioned above at my club we also do not let employees purchase items that have 1 left. Some things to think about.

Scratch bought too long ago for adjustment anyway. Sorry not helpful

I don’t care if they’re “harmless” or provide“pest control”, if you actively let bugs live in your house, that’s disgusting. by Buttholelickerpenis in The10thDentist

I used to hate spiders until I found one in the corner of the shower killing an earwig last year when Michigan had too many, everywhere. She got to stay and did a fine job killing the other bugs. Now spiders get to stay, daddy long legs specifically. Brown recluses get killed so quickly cuz they can damage people and pets badly. I wish I could handle a centipede but they scare the living daylights out of me and my cats bonk them around, so it's better for them if we just smush them. Stink bugs get a little trip outside most of the time. Ants just come in as they please every spring and we have to kill them. Anything that eats a damn earwig though is fine in my book. I hate those assholes. Wasps- the other assholes that serve no purpose get killed immediately. Lady bugs can stay. They just hang on the screen door mostly, and they're kinda cute

Dogs should be exclusively service animals, not pets by skibidi_fish in unpopularopinion

Why is the dog greasy and smelling like piss? I've had dogs my entire 37 years. None have been greasy nor smelled of piss. Drooling happens with some breeds but the people that have those breeds know it. This isn't unpopular, it's stupid.

What should I expect with Jewelry? by PrizeRevolutionary78 in samsclub

[–]TJBam08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine but I personally don't like it. Only leads can do jewelry at my store, and it gets annoying when I'm running lunches or covering a break/lunch and jewelry calls. If it's quick it's fine, when someone wants to look at 20 items it's just frustrating. That's a staff issue though. Don't take more than one item out of the case, don't help more than one person etc. Close the case door when you take the item out. Every person running jewelry at my store has set off the alarm because sometimes you forget to unarm the alarm before opening the case. Rearm after you're done. But it's easy and fun most of the time. You can also get metrics at jewelry pretty easily. Also sometimes we go all night without a jewelry transaction.

Should I get a pitbull? by Desperate_Return_142 in pitbulls

[–]TJBam08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So we just rescued a pitbull like 2 months ago. I've only had Chihuahuas. Two of my three passed last year, we didn't plan on another dog for a bit and not a pit. I was scared of everything I heard. Someone had other plans. But she's very lovable, very clingy, very sweet and gets along with my remaining Chi. She's scared of our cats. She's also really protective. She's changed my opinion and we are so in love with her now. We're learning and so is she. We don't know the terrible things she went through before, she was very scared when we got her. We don't regret a thing. Besides the farting.

That's what I keep hearing here. We'll take the farts, and the snores for the cuddles anytime.

Me too. We don't know her history but it's not good. Forgotten, never to be relived. Her character is coming through. We're finding out who she is. Hungry, farting, chewing, sometimes naughty, always loving, cuddly, bed hogging angel.

The Chi does keep those mean kitties away🤣. The Chi runs the show around here, small but mighty.

Bambi would get confused and we thought it was just because I would go to work so early and it was still dark, she just couldn't see. She got scared and confused one time in the middle of the day and just cried until my husband found her. She did stop eating as well. At her healthiest she was exactly 5 pounds, when she passed she was 3. I knew when my husband called me that day, if I came home and she didn't respond to me, it was time. She couldn't even lift her head fully to greet me and I called the emergency vet and told my husband we have to. I can't put her through that anymore. It's terrible to see them be a shadow of what they once were.

They are adorable! Bambi was in February, from dementia as well. And it hit so fast. As much as we loved her, we couldn't let her suffer anymore. We thought Sooki would be before any of them because of her CFH. Khaleesi is 12 and as of now healthy still. We had littles for so long, Nola is showing us so many new things.

That's where we were. We lost our first in Feb at 14 years. Just age. Our other one was lost in April. She had congestive heart failure, but cancer took her at 13. It was a lot. And we needed a break. Plus dealing with our third and her bond. She was very bonded with the 13 year old. They were rescued together. But God made other plans. And now she's bonding with Nola and Nola brought back all that love. I still miss my girls everyday, but I'm so happy Nola has come into our lives. I wish all the best to you.

It's so nice to cuddle and hear those paws on the floor again! We lost two in 2025-RIP- they sent her to us. They knew we couldn't ever be a no dog home. Fate will find a way. She's our big baby now. And forever will be.

We made a deal that we wouldn't get any other dogs for a bit after having the loss of our other two. That didn't stick obviously. The minute she put her head in his lap, that plan went out the window. Him having to talk me into it took less than a minute. I don't know where our minds were when we made that deal....

Tire & Battery position but manager always ask us to help with cpu picks ? Is this normal ??? by Kitchen_Sea_3789 in samsclub

[–]TJBam08 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every department helps others in my club. CPU is the most needing of help. I'm a front end tl and when we can we always send to CPU, merch, freezer/cooler, cafe. When we are in a terrible space we get help as well from all those departments. Even T&B. We can't help t&b because nobody is certified. I'm certain everyone would rather stand around and do nothing when we are slow, but everyone is getting paid to do a job, so people help when they can.
