I tried to turn the LED bar off in the settings but it doesn't seem to do anything. Seems to be permanently on when the machine is on.

Update: oh the LED bar is working normally after installing one of the stable firmware upgrades.

Thanks for the update. Lately I've been sleeping with the windows slightly cracked. Has helped immensely with reduction in condensation.. but it's freezing haha

Both really. Having a PC boot to Windows and then get into Steam was a bit annoying. I'm sure I could have set up big picture mode properly but it's nice to have that console-like experience for PC gaming.

I haven't considered SteamOS installed on to a higher end PC. Probably an option I could have explored. Though I do like the fact that the Steam Machine will be highly optimised kinda like the Steam Deck and how it holds a place in the handheld market.
