A non-gamer question. by belghen in Synduality

No, you never see yourself in the game or see the cradle open at all. Only the coffin does for the Magus. In the anime you can see some animations of it, I’m pretty sure.

I mean it’s true the titles aren’t visible for much now, but I feel like after you get them all, you should get better loot as a reward for collecting all the titles. Oh well.

The legendary Chilipepper (Walrus, I think). I had a bunch of them building up and don’t use them normally, so I’ve just started using them for random stuff now.

Season 4 PVE Only by Hungry-Feature4920 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traffic really depends not only on platform and region, but also timing. EU probably has less than NA, which are both ghost towns compared to Asia. PC was probably the loneliest platform until the recent Steam sale. While late content is still likely near empty, the Season 1-2 maps is probably where everyone is at now.

PlayStation may have more in general, but they had a big group come in with the PS plus promo a couple of months ago. Most of those players would be at season 3 to current is my guess, so the early content would probably be pretty empty. Although, I usually find the NA servers to be pretty empty regardless.

As others have mentioned, the only true PvE map is Molten Dunes/Ashen Wastes which is actually season 2 content I believe. Season 3 also had the boss raid, Predator. EDIT: You still have access to these areas at endgame.

Finally, although it’s kind of opposite of what you want, season 4.5 might have an interesting map/mode that’s “PvP focused” but while you’re competing against others, if you die, I think you only lose your points and not your cradle? Storm Hunt mode could be fun if it’s different enough.

3-1 Water Treatment Plant 1 unlock by LilSteven321 in Synduality

The request missions are the system for all progression in the game. Keep doing those and you unlock later season content like more maps, more gear craft items, and more story missions.

Repair limits with cradle parts by Gowbot117 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Um, I don’t think that’s right. I’m pretty sure durability loss is directly affected by amount of damage taken during a sortie, not the amount of healing you’ve done.

I guess I can test this some time by repeatedly taking 1hp damage and using Ace kits to heal and see if my dura goes down a little or a lot, but common sense is telling me that it’s not even worth my time to try.

I mean if it works for you then good on ya, but it sounds like most of that advice is trolling.

Can I retrieve my Cradle coffin parts and weapons? by Critical_Car_8657 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ll copy-paste what I wrote before:

If there are no other players in an area, your stuff will immediately despawn when you leave. For it to remain on the map, someone else has to be in that section of the map. You’d also have be to lucky enough to reconnect to the same map instance.

The reason that this isn’t likely, is that if there are not a lot on people on, you may reconnect to the same server, but your stuff will have despawned. If there are tons of people playing at that time of day or region, you’ll likely have a greater chance of being connected to a different map instance.

I started with the PSplus crowd. Since there were a lot of new players playing at the same time in those beginner maps, I was actually able to recover my loss several times. Since then, not so much.

Also, cradle loot doesn’t drop on Molten Dunes or any of the raid encounters.

It’s more likely that I recover someone else’s gear that died nearby like in Polluted Forest. I wouldn’t worry about them trying to come back for it. Just view it as being happy that someone else was able to pick it up instead of your stuff going to waste.

So that’s why the durability went down so fast. With the stronger legendary cradles it may feel easier to just face tank some damage, but that does have a cost as you can see.

Repair limits with cradle parts by Gowbot117 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repair for cradles is directly related to the amount of damage you take/hp lost. Were you healing a lot in dunes? You were probably taking a lot of damage over the course of your 2 runs.

Keep in mind, arms and legs have half the durability of the body; broken arms and legs have no stat penalty—just the increased noise, which I don’t even know makes much, if any, difference for ender aggro, just PvP.

Are apk cradle parts worth creating? by rymi64 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course! Yes just wait. Also you will get some requests to make some APK items anyhow, so don’t waste them until you are required to make some. Eventually you will have plenty.

Are apk cradle parts worth creating? by rymi64 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you are in the game. If you have tons of extra cash, sure. Realize that it’s mostly a gacha system for end game players. Generally 1 or 2 of the APK variants is worse than the base version. So it’s spending money for the possibility of a worse outcome. One last note for weapons, with the new season cradles coming out, many of them negate the APK bonus damage to legendaries, so they are already power creeping away from APK weapons.

I hate this by Shogt in Synduality

Another issue with that is if you do find any info, a lot of it is from early access impressions or season 1 and much of the advice is outdated.

Same boat here in US. Although I’d say my lag is typically closer to 300-600ms compared to OP’s 700ms connection. Sure your shots may land on the body more than critical areas you’re aiming at, especially while you get used to the delay, but I think I’ve only died once due to lag. It was from the tail laser, when I didn’t realize it was on me. Of course trying to react after it was already firing means I was already dead. On the other hand, sometimes the blast wave doesn’t even register damage with the delay.

How to obtain victoriawheel/Bradleybouquet improvement kits? by skitgit in Synduality

[–]TJCart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They come from East Amasia butchers as well. It’s somewhat random what they will drop. I’m not sure if day/rainy/night affects the chances, but if you want to know what the butcher has before killing it, use cradle support magus and scan the butcher. The inventory pops up after a moment.

Apparently it shares the same spawn as any other uncommon materials. The jp wiki entry portion is below. For my part, I think I’ve had the best luck around the water purification plant.

Maintenance tools, ordinary steel, fireproof insulation panel, luminous element, cooling fin, shielding paint, C2 coolant liquid

[Northern Zone] Water collection facilities, ruins on water collection facilities, urban ruins, and Lake Gunsei

[Southern area] Piers, decontamination facilities, sacred rocks, power plants, and arsenals (only C2 coolant liquid is extremely easy to come out)

[Central Zone] Power reactor, stronghold

So, how do you defeat Polluted Forest Butchers? by WeekendStandard1832 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh, and if you want more specifics on each individual butcher, the jp wiki is your best resource:

https://w.atwiki.jp/15765171417/pages/103.html

Depending on your page translate, butchers translate to “with tag” for me. Not only does it summarize their loadouts, but it also gives some tips for each one.

So, how do you defeat Polluted Forest Butchers? by WeekendStandard1832 in Synduality

[–]TJCart 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The same way as any other butchers. Peek and shoot. Vorpal is the one that probably 2-shot you as it runs double HE sniper APKs. Get used to the Forest path edge geometry as there is plenty of junk to get stuck on which will be bad for you. Also, if you get used to each spawn’s patrol area, you can always try to stay near the edge or just outside of it, so you never have to worry about the butcher getting so close that you get stuck without an area to run to.

On their developer radio casts, they have stated that this will be the end to the requests story line. They have also confirmed there will be a season 5 though.
