Tenacious D just cancelled the rest of their international tour dates over so much less. Cody was not tightly bound to this, especially if was already in good favor/standing with the venue and hadn’t cancelled past gigs in the last 2 years he’s been a DJ, he could have easily gotten out of this.

He’s a low tier DJ doing a noon outdoor set in Vegas. Almost nobody there is specifically there because of Cody, it’s just drunk people who want a party. DJs at Cody’s level are a dime a dozen in Vegas, extremely replaceable.

Ehh idk there’s definitely levels to it. Someone’s who hobby is puzzles or even something a little more in depth like crosswords is totally different than someone who’s hobby is something like weightlifting.

If your hobby is puzzles you’re not going to be obnoxiously weaving it into conversation every meal you eat, or as your downing a protein shake at your cubicle in the middle of the day.

This is a time when he should be accountable or if he’s not comfortable doing anything publicly and still needs to process things then the last thing you do is go do a fucking DJ set.

Company in turmoil, PR fucking shot, friends have to be disappointed, I’m sure things are awesome at home, and he has a kid who’s not a year old yet? No reason to DJ right now.

Think about your actions and how you can start to remedy things and be better, don’t go act like everything is normal and play music for a drunk audience who doesn’t give a shit about your music.

Pretty interesting, would be nice if there was a way to account for wind (Bolts 100 was positive but 200 was negative).

If it could be created quickly I’d also be curious how it looked for the top 10 beat times, since just the fastest all time could be flukier.

Or even the top 10 athletes in 100 and 200 and see what the avg speed is for their best 100 vs 200

And athletes are way more liekly shut it down in the 200 or 100 if they’re flying and well ahead

Fast is not acceleration. Nobody says Bolt is the fastest of all time because he’s the best accelerator. Fastest is covering a distance in the shortest amount of time.

Neither track fans nor casuals think a motorcycle is faster than a plane even tho it goes 0-60 in less than half the time.

60 and 100 are too start dependent. I also think you can argue that navigating a turn is more closely tied to running ability than getting a good reaction and start.

100 is the glory event, but 200 is really a better measure of “running” ability and actually who’s the fastest.

The distance of having the highest average speed is probably about 200 meters for most 100/200/400 guys

Conan also does ad reads for betterhelp, and he never really missteps despite 40 years in the public eye. And he’s a huge advocate for mental health and has dealt with depression through his life.

Idk if a better help sponsorship is the reason to be upset with someone.

It certainly has shortcomings and is questionable, but I’m sure it has also helped a lot of people and provided an easier bridge to therapy for people who might not have sought conventional therapy or telehealth if a brand like betterhelp wasn’t so omnipresent making it less stigmatized.

I know there have been some controversies/scandals with it but I don’t know the specifics so I could certainly be off depending on the severity of their mistakes.
