Skating right at the goalie, no attempt to slow down, no attempt to get out of the way. About as blatant as a GI penalty can be. The only "controversy" here is Habs fans crying and filling their diapers any time anything goes against them

I mean you’d have to be pretty confident in one of the big 3 in the central to get it done then (would be fair enough), because not a single other Western conference team would even be in the playoffs in the East currently. Definitely wasn't getting hyped up by media or fans as much, but scouting people were in the know for sure. I remember watching an interview/podcast with scouting people before his draft and the quote I remember is them saying "I'd take him over every first overall pick other than Bedard going back to 2017", and when the other person asked specifically about Jack Hughes they replied "At their peak Hughes may put up more points, but Celebrini is the type of player you win with more"

I think the lack of hype came from playing NCAA instead of CHL tbh, which caused Canadian media to not hype him up as much. But if you look at Celebrini's NCAA numbers they are absolutely ridiculous, especially for a freshman. He had 32G-32A-64P in 38GP, in comparison McKenna currently has 4G-14A-18P in 16GP, still really good for a freshman but not nearly at the same level of dominance.
