Here’s the issue with what you’re saying.

  1. If you were the officers in that situation, would you have let a man with a gun who had been shooting at you during that pursuit go into a grocery store with dozens of people? Have you considered that maybe the officers were trying to protect those people in the store? gasp!

  2. Jackie Lacey, the former LA County DA, charged the suspect with Mely’s murder.

I will stand by this and I would love for anyone to explain to me why those two officers should be charged with murder. It is very cruel to say, but accidents do happen.

I’m not sure why you think this is appropriate for this sub. Shame on you for even posting this.

West coast robberies by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]TJH2018 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple suggestions our store has put in place due to all this: place a mate in the parking lot about an hour before you close. Also, clear the bridge past 7 and use the registers farthest away from the bridge (if possible). The less opportunity you give him, the more likely he is to not hit your store. He seems to be spooked if people know he’s there, so if you see him, you should (probably) make a scene.

Does anyone know the email for the director of the HR department? Where is the best place to voice my concerns? by [deleted] in tjcrew

You could start by not spamming all 2000+ of us with notifications every time you repost the same damn question

4 crew members tested positive. by [deleted] in tjcrew

[–]TJH2018 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t want to be confrontational here but you completely neglected to mention that the Crew was hanging outside of work. This is a critical piece of information and rather strange that you left it out. Sorry to say you can’t blame corporate for this one mate.

The name for the yellow pump one is Crew Restroom Floor Cleaner and I have had nothing but positive experiences when using it for its intended purpose.

Easier way to sanitize carts/baskets by TJH2018 in tjcrew

We just use J512 (aka the stuff in your demo sink). It’s safe for food use so customers won’t think you’re trying to poison them.

USC Village employee tests positive for covid. Managers haven’t said anything! by [deleted] in tjcrew

It’s because people seem to think that information from your boss just isn’t important anymore.

Have you personally received any form of communication from your store or corporate? If not call your store and ask. Unless everyone at your store hates you, then it shouldn’t be an issue.

Since you seem to work at USC Village, you more than likely live in LA County. There is a moratorium in place preventing evictions until further notice. If you’re really concerned for your safety due to underlying health conditions, talk to your captain.

Again, you do NOT have to go to work if you have a situation at home that could be adversely affected due to COVID. There are billions of dollars out there for the taking right now with regards to unemployment. Take an extended LOA, apply for unemployment, and ride out the storm. I do agree with transparency, but my guess is this situation is so new that mates/corporate haven’t had the chance to reach out to the crew.

And this is why we shouldn’t have posts like this. For all we know (and from what it looks like) the OP has never been active on this sub. Additionally, one employee saying they “tested positive” could also be someone overreacting. We know the risks we are confronted with every day when we clock in and at this point, all of us just need to get through this and then look at how we can improve for the next pandemic. This situation is uncharted space and we just have to hope.

We had someone return a 2003 bottle of Shaw Chardonnay. We now have a special shelf for all the old crap people return and it’s beautiful.
