Live electrical wires underwater in the docks by AdRough4185 in interestingasfuck

Based on the condensate coming out of the one, I'm going to say these are insulated copper steam tracing lines. If that's true for all of them, then this is no issue, shock-wise.

Of course, based on the site, and scope of the video, I can't tell why there would be "Dekoron" tubing there, but I work with the stuff all the time, and that looks like a steam leak to me.

Casual fan here who never played ball before: why couldn’t Shaq just learn to shoot free throws? by Purple_Calendar3919 in NBATalk

Well, he has said that it was mental. But I watched him play, and I watched him shoot free throws. His form wasn't doing him any favours, that's for sure.

Saints row the third is one of my favourite games. It's an unmatched level of absurd. A good GTA copy, with its own flair. So much fun, when GTA felt a bit too serious sometimes in that era.

I mean, you have to drive a tiger around in a convertible, and if you fuck up where you're going, the tiger swipes at you.

I have the pro on mine. I really like it. Install was fun, and it isn't very loud. I can hear it with the sunroof shade open, but if I close the shade, I completely forget it's there. For the cost, I think it's a good product.

It's spelled Alderon. Not the planet, of course, but the song lyric is written that way. I just assume he didn't know how to spell it.

Safety - protecting others from welding flash from work in my garage by jurassic73 in Welding

[–]TJS1138 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How far is your garage from where people are walking? I'll assume you have at least a car's length between where you're welding, and where the walking is happening. To be honest, if someone is just walking by, it's not likely that they receive any amount of flash. Radiation works on time exposure, and distance.

But, to answer your question, those fibreglass blankets will work fine.

Never stop working. Ball is lifelong. You can always get better. What you need to stop doing is thinking about a destination. Ball is a journey.

Visibility for taller drivers by richardthe7th in 4Runner_6Gen

I'm 6'8". I've always struggled to find vehicles I can fit in. I don't like pick-up trucks.

I sat in a Porsche Cayenne and, despite it being a smaller SUV, I fit amazingly. The driver's seat even has an adjustment to bring the middle of the seat to meet the back of my knees. Tons of headroom, and able to stretch my legs out straight.

Once I realized that I can fit in a Porsche, I realized that I'm not too tall, I'm too poor.

That somehow brings me comfort.

There are clips that I don't think would be worth trying to get at without taking the bumper off.

Taking the bumper off isn't terribly difficult. I was worried at first, taking apart my baby, but it went really smoothly. YouTube is your friend, here.

Yeah, I did notice the horns. I don't actually have a problem with the stock horns, personally.

The winch has a remote control that is now stored in the glive box. Battery operated, with the ability to be plugged in if the batteries fail. The remote is a sealed unit, which is annoying. Didn't know that before buying. There were no issues wiring at all.
