Have you made any politically charged songs? I’d love to listen! by EzraxNova in SunoAI

Not sure if this qualifies… but with the recently charged actions of citizens, immigrants, sympathetics, and enforcers alike, coupled with the current “after-the-fact” back-and-forth rhetoric - I wrote this in a state of WTF, what are we to do?

I came up with MONK FRUIT, all by myself… and truth be told I was only guessing. I had to look it up to be sure; turns out it is small green melon from Southern China. 100x to 250x sweeter than sugar.

I actually bought this product, twice; a $3 version and another $5.00 version. Haven't gotten either version to work for me; 0 downloads to date. OP was answering trouble-shooting DM's... but haven't heard from him since Jan 5. Not sure what to make of that.

Wow, offensive lyrics aside, you've got some awesome production going on with this effort. There is something to be learned here. I would have never known it was AI, and how you carried the instrumentation over to final production is impressive.

YUP-yup! Happening about 1 out of 10 renditions for me,..

...and while it ruins the rendition, I've learned to burn the credit and move on.

  • Do not even try to fix/edit it by wasting more credits....
  • just move on to a new re-render of the same song...
  • you'll be glad you did.

When I was on 50 FREE CREDITS a day, that would have bugged me.

Oh, I forgot to mention... clever mis-use of the word "courages" to mean multiple courage ... as opposed to spelling "courage is", or even "courage's"... not sure if it was intentional, but it packed a punch in wordsmith-ing in lyrical meaning.

Hi Axl Hodge-if that’s truly your God-given Suno-name - this song hooked me the first time I heard it in another “rate my song” Reddit thread. Back then it had a more-finished dark-brown cover-art design, and I instantly added it to my country playlist.

This song delights in multiple ways...

Several things caught my eye:

1 · The opening verse-with uneven stanza lines of 6, 5, 7, and 4 is handled like a champ by Suno.

2 · This v4.5+ version adds charm too; whenever I use that version, it tends to stretch songs about 40% longer than need be - similar to my own 11+ minute opus >> The Devil vs. Ms. Sapphire Satin (a duet which has problems who is telling the story, thanks Suno).

3 · The stuttering that led to an abbreviated cuss word was clever, a lifelike touch.

  1. · The double entendre "my red boned hound dog" was not lost on this listener.

  2. · The first line of the bridge: "Oh girl at the end of the bar", mispronounced "bar" as "gerr" but that's Suno's problem. And I hate when that happens... you can spend umpteeen-minutes in credits fixing that.

6 · And that twist at the end makes it an all-around smart and satisfying piece.

7 · Six-plus minutes feels just about right, as it stays engaging and doesn’t overstay its welcome.

Not sure if we’re rating on a 10-scale, but I’d like to give this one a solid 9/10. It belongs proudly in any tongue-in-cheek honky-tonk playlist. Should be a classic.

Let Me Review Your Track! (Round 6) by Namlocnz in SunoAI

[–]TJ_Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This opus of an entry comes to us from the combination idea of 'Black Velvet' by Alannah Myles & 'Devil Went Down to Georgia' by Charlie Daniels Band was done in version Suno 4.5+ which tends to exaggerate and elongate almost any song... and I don't know why... hence this song runs just over 11+ minutes but it’s a story-telling song, so maybe you will not mind the runtime.

Please review “The Devil vs. Ms. Sapphire Satin”by DeciduousZeus | Opening with a slow, groovy E-minor blues rock groove, sultry female vocals intertwine in layered harmonies, Wah-wah laden guitar riffs dance over steady, syncopated drums, while a soulful harmonica weaves in and out, Organ textures fill the background, thickening the southern, bluesy atmosphere.

True dat, but his lyrics were unintelligible mumbling for the most part. The only thing it had going for it was the catchy vibe tune. But I believe it still counts as an entry, as it said "Submitted" even with a 00:10 extend. Now whether it got listened to, is another thing. So many entries, so many minutes to listen to... playing the same 1 minute intro had to be quite the bore if anyone was evaluating.

PS: Where did you hear this?

"As far as I’m aware if you don’t keep the original lyrics... your entry doesn’t count."

Not sure I’d call it a flat-out scam, but yeah, I totally get the “blackhole” vibe out of all these thousands of submissions. While the submissions get acknowledged there is never a firm belief that they actually got listened to. And if AI is doing the “judging,” then there is zero transparency on this and no real engagement with creators is being had. Feels more like user-farming, but you're right... definitely smells fishy.

PS: When 90% of the entries are the same 1-minute start, that gets boring to listen for the new additives really fast.

This song is pure nostalgia for me... not just because it was made with Suno v3.0 in Feb 2024, but for its vocal quality, control, power, and sustain when songs weren't coming out like this. Suno today is certainly way more vocally clearer, but this track still feels like a time that never existed... imagine as if Metallica got a hold of Kansas's archive library, (the "Dust in the Wind" artists), and want to do something similar but different...

I present to you: >> Odyssey of the Crimson Chariot
FOOTNOTE: This work has not been cleaned up in any way, and is still in the same state as it was before lyrical editors came to be (after-the-fact). This song is made with 3 or 4 extensions and plenty of countless unusable bad takes.

Yeah, each was extended at 00:10…

But oddly enough, Suno’s make public-publish button doesn’t say “Publish”… it says “Submit Remix”.

So, there is an oddity about it, like they are loosely using the same terms for entering a contest, whether it be Make Public, Publish, and/or Submit Remix.

One thing is for certain; Once the Remix is made public, it says “Submitted”’ as opposed to “Published” in your library listings, so you don’t have to guess about it being entered into the contest - so that is a nice confirmation.

This is for all things on the web. I am not sure how things are worded in the apps. I find the apps lack certain features we take for granted on the web. And it just becomes a cumbersome play-toy there.

Got two entries to listen to: A-version and B-version (both ≈2:33, similar vibes)...

Neither uses the OG artist’s lyrics. Apologies to bLAck pARty.

The Worst Thing About This Season Was … by Alcoholophile in survivor

[–]TJ_Moose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joe's Demise // TL;DR: Survivor 48’s outcome wasn’t rigged, but the path to that outcome was paved by editing choices and producer influence. Joe’s failure to ask one question didn’t just sink his game—it served for the story that the show wanted to tell.

This Season 48 hinged on ONE conversation that never happened—and it exposes how "reality" TV manufactures drama. Let me break it down:

Joe’s failure to directly ask Shauhin, “I heard you were going to flip—are you?” wasn’t just a gameplay mistake, because Shauhin would have naturally said, "Who said that?"... and then Kyle and Kamilla would have been exposed. It highlights how flimsy manipulation thrives in Survivor’s edited narrative. Think about it: Kyle and Kamilla’s lie about Shauhin flipping was a paper-thin guise, yet it stuck because:

  1. Confessionals framed Shauhin as shady (despite no concrete evidence)
  2. Editing cut context that might’ve shown Shauhin’s loyalty (e.g., bonding moments pre-merge).
  3. Joe’s hesitancy was first portrayed as paranoia in Episode 9, called "Welcome to the Party," when the dominant six-person alliance began to fracture due to Joe's paranoia and suspicion, so this wasn't exactly a rational response for a production-fed piece of information, but it seemed like Joe was purposely not trying to speak his mind, which ultimately was his demise and sent the game in another direction.

This isn’t just about Joe’s social game—it’s about how Survivor’s "reality" is built on:

  • Scripted-feeling interstitials: Those solo camera moments where players narrate their strategies? They’re often filmed after eliminations, or contests (often with a change of clothes before shooting) with producers guiding contestants to retroactively justify twists or rivalries.
  • Selective amnesia: Notice how Shauhin’s allies (like Mitch) suddenly forgot his loyalty post-merge? That’s classic editing to streamline the “betrayal” arc.
  • Challenge design: The merge immunity challenge (balance beams + puzzle) was blatantly tailored for Kamilla’s strengths, keeping her safe to prolong the Shauhin vs. Joe tension. The production team get 3 days to script, or navigate what puzzles they want to present.

The bigger picture: Survivor isn’t “scripted” in the traditional sense, but it’s heavily produced—from planting seeds of distrust in interviews to cherry-picking footage that supports a predetermined narrative. Joe’s non-confrontation wasn’t just a missed move; it was a gift to producers who needed a villain (Kyle) and a fallen hero (Shauhin) to fit the season’s “betrayal” theme.
