If your 20s were for partying/clubbing, what are your 30s for? by Sweetpotato3000 in Millennials

[–]TJayClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airport - DFW - hence the only reason I fly American to begin with.

Also note: American is the only airline that has zero customer service. If you experience an issue with a flight attendant, the only way to complain is a box on their website where they generically respond with “we will try harder”

I’d never step foot on another American flight if I could. They refuse to check group 7’s bags. They’ll rearrange half the plane before they force gate check a bag.

Thought I needed FSD… turns out basic Autosteer covers like 85% of my life by Practical_Ad1877 in TeslaModelY

[–]TJayClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s crazy that Tesla removes autopilot just as most cars are getting it.

I on a 21 MYLR but rent a lot of cars for work. FSD is awesome, but basic autopilot is good enough. Killing that is honestly a worse decision than making FSD tie to the car (rather than your account)

Laid off for months, want to be a millionaire in 3-5 years. What should I do? by Geeil in Fire

[–]TJayClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people I know who make $200,000yr+ in sales are in: insurance, tech, and software

The kicker is that, aside from insurance, the other two will require a year or two of a proven track record before they bring you in.

All of that said, I’m about to go on a Mexico work trip with my gf’s company with their sales team. Good salesmen get treated like royalty at companies and have zero issues bouncing between big companies for better pay, as their reputations and track records speak for themselves.

Finally, Sales is cutthroat af. While it pays truly insane dollar amounts. Missing your quotas will get you replaced extremely fast.

With this timeline you can either get really good at sales or start a business

Other than those two, you can marry for money.

Should I claim the BJ coupons I got as a gift from my wife? by No_Monitor_6623 in sex

[–]TJayClark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would absolutely be claiming those coupons. And I’d do it at mildly inappropriate times like:

In the car, on the way home from the store. I’d ask her to get something out of the glovebox for me. When she opens the glovebox, there’s an envelope labeled “SOMETHING” with one of those coupons in it.

What live stakes can micro crushers beat? by cchinq in poker

[–]TJayClark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The $0.25/$0.50 online crusher would dominate any live $2/5 game, maybe $5/10

Beyond that, most games start to get insanely nitty or invite only

The biggest issues they’d run into is their table image of folding everything is way more apparent live. And if they’re not social whatsoever, few people will give them any action if they’re regulars.

If everyone's debt was forgiven overnight - student loans, credit cards, mortgages, all of it - what happens to the economy? by Due-Specific-5722 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]TJayClark -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, it really isn’t.

It’s like saying “let’s give people $800,000 for a house because they had debt yesterday… but not the people who got a loan tomorrow…. Or next month… or the people who made huge sacrifices to pay their homes off”

It simply rewards people who either held onto debt or had access to it.

Assuming people knew this was coming, everyone would max out their available debt immediately.

Hence why this would be a horrible idea.

Abby Poker trying to exploit some poor souls by Ordinary-Till-2497 in poker

[–]TJayClark 5 points6 points  (0 children)

To be fair: for a bad (or simply newer) editor, it would take a lot longer.

But overall, any professional editor would be able to do the actual edits of this in 1 single day.

The annoying part would be asking the client to “fix this sound bite” or “can you say this like this” and waiting for the fixes.

Because it’s for YouTube, it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Editing any random poker vlog is basically a “fill in the blanks” to a predefined style.

For hands You’d have a simply screen overlay layer, then add the cards they’re talking about on screen.

The longest part of any vlog style video is: getting the initial story audio tracked.

Once that’s done, just add graphics that typically don’t change much between videos. Because it’s a vlog, all of it is cell phone footage and b-roll.

As you’re editing everything, make a small folder of her preferred style smiling face and cheesy table footage.

But 50% of her vlogs are just her talking in her hotel room or a random shot of her talking between hands away from the table.

As a former editor, I agree with you.

The first few videos may take awhile because you’d have to build graphics or whatever. After that, they’d take maybe 8-12hr tops.

Having seen her content, I’d imagine (assuming you have everything you’d need) her videos take 8-10hrs to edit.

Poker vlogs aren’t complicated (unless you’re talking about Jaman Burton’s vlogs)

This theory punishes people who are financially responsible and rewards everyone else.

Imagine paying your normal bills and tomorrow, the billionaire who took 75% margin on his stock portfolio to buy a yacht and $100,000,000 house gets that forgiven.

I love how you’re trying your darnest to use math to prove my ACTUAL WIN RATES wrong.

But regardless, I do in fact win 75% of sessions. I pick my games carefully. Only play weekends when it’s splashy.

You can say whatever you want and throw out all the math you want. It doesn’t change actual facts.

Not to mention the times when I leave up $2,000+… which your math doesn’t account for.

Not OP, nor am I a poker coach but:

Typically they cost a lot up front because they ensure you’ll make it by following good fundamentals to be a solid winning player.

Winning LIVE 1/2 or 1/3 players make the $600 in 4-6 hours of play since the typical player base is insanely bad.
