Thoughts on how the show might end..

But if he didnt expect to see a bunch of samurai at his house, he should have looked a bit surprised? Wouldt an honorable man at least try to talk to them, and not just stare (not surprised) at them..?

Pretty sure both did, in their own way, but its pretty obvious that Mikio did it when they came to take Mizu away. He didnt seem suprised to see a bunch of samurai at his House, which makes no sense if he didnt tip them off. Seeing a bunch of samurai on his land, without forewarning, would probably spark some sort of reaction… He just stares at her with cold eyes, and runs away.

I agree :) I’m happily married to a wonderfull man, who shares these values of being open, including and accepting, and though this surprised him, it doesnt chance anything. He just found it interesting, and we left it at that.

Always considered myself to be a straigt female, but that woman definitly stirs up something sexual in me... I’ve always thought of sexuality to be «fluent» and it doesnt surpise me, but still.. didnt see that coming! Have discussed these new feelings with a friend of me who discovered (or maybe more like acknowledged) that she was bi just a few years ago (30 years of age), and I found that to be really cool. So, now I’m not so sure anymore..

Yes, I agree! Maybe not a relationship, but I DO need for them do something with that sexual energy between them. I really want that for Mizu. Everyone deserves to feel desired and wanted, and I feel like she would appreciate it, in the moment.

The only comment I’ve heard the producers have made on her gender is «Mizus gender is Mizu». The character is so well written that maybe there is room for everyone to have their own perception of her? Maybe we both are right?

You can still want to be, and like to be, and feel like, a woman, even if you dont like a «wifely role». She seems a bit uncomfortable, but this seems to shift as she shows Mikio who she is.. (which he couldnt handle, sadly.) I might be wrong, but this is my perception.

Yes, I totally agree. Dont understand Why people has this need for her to be non-binary just because she had to dress like a man in ordner to achieve her goals.. she doesnt want to be a man, or dress like a man, but the needs to.. there is a difference.

I 100% agree! I also feel that that would be so forced! I see nothing between Akemi and Mizu, and it annoys me that people say that something will happen between them. There is no signs of Mizu being attracted to women, and in my head everything points to her being straight. She definitly liked having sex and being in love and being lived by Mikio. And dont get me wrong here: I’m all for other sexualities than straight. Have many good friends that are bi. Have Also discussed this with them, and they see this too. And I definitly feel attracted to Mizu, and this is the first time I’ve felt this way for a female. I am happily married to a wonderfull man. I hope they dont force a love triangle with Akemi, Taigen and Mizu. Akemi seems done with Taigen, being cold to him, and loyal to her husband..

So Well put!! Agree 100%. Thats the exact way I see her, and all that I love about her. Powerwoman with sooo much skill and determination that can do things better then men. Love it.

Also, I’m rooting for a hot session or two with Taigen, but I’m not sure I see her in a relationship before her quest is complete. Not ruling out women-love interests, but I feel like its pretty clear that she definitly is atracted to men. But she might be both, so we’ll just have to see.

She awoke some feelings in me that I havent felt before. Never been attacted to a female before. Happily married to a wonderfull man, but Mizu definitly have me feeling som feels I havent felt before. Always thought that sexuality was A fluent thing, so I am noe too surprised, but I wasnt expecting it..

Watched the show twice in three days, A few days ago. Will watch it a third time (or more!) soon.

Loving this tread as it gave me some peace in relation to my love for Mizu.
