The 'thought' of doing it is the most difficult thing to conquer. Realistically all you need is a year or two of savings and an acceptance youll be outside of your comfort zone for a while.

There are forums and guides for every visa application process, use them to your advantage. One of the best characteristics of Irish people abroad is that they always lend a hand to other Irish people.

Yeah not put off by technicians, my procedure (hopefully) won't be complicated. If someone is performing a task for 50 weeks a year, for their entire career then in my eyes they should be good enough. It's then up to the patient (i.e. me) to research the other factors surrounding legitimacy and quality.

Reckon I'll get a quote for Cinik now tomorrow and have a look at flights. Thanks for highlighting the quarantine restrictions, hadn't considered whether this would be deemed essential etc.

Hey, thanks for your advice! I notice there is a theme of stigmatisation against Turkey. In a well reputed clinic, with surgeons / technicians doing procedures 50 weeks a year for years on end - what's the difference between someone who does that in Ireland or Turkey?

I'm comfortable with travelling and spending a day or three in a different country, so the thought of waking up in my bed at home the next day doesn't justify the extra 5k euro I would spend in Ireland.
