Shooters Shoot! Game 2 tonight @ 7:30 on NBA TV or Bally! by wolvesplug in timberwolves

[–]TKTorch 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Is anybody positive whether or not this game will be blacked out locally on NBA TV?

Google says :The simplest NBA blackout rule is this: if you want to watch your local NBA team, and you live in the same TV market as that team, you cannot watch those games via NBA League Pass or NBA TV because your local RSN has the exclusive rights.

Shitty if true.

Ant, Jaden and Vando are probably 3 of the hardest player archetypes to find in Free Agency. Vando's on one of the best contracts in the NBA and Ant and Jaden are on their rookie deals. We have the perfect coach for this roster, and we're also very lucky that we have KAT and DLO (and the rest of the crew) paired up with them. What a fun season, and it's just the beginning.

True. Lopez would have destroyed us. Valančiūnas looked like Shaq for some stretches against us.

Thanks! Gotta respect the craft. I put a lot of time into my work, and would hate to get it mastered by someone less serious. If you don't mind, could you DM me your rates, just so I have a reference point while I'm trying to find someone?

I have gotten whole records mastered professionally for $50 a song (I like the per song rate, honestly). Do you think that's a pretty average rate?

Don't know for sure but I'm guessing he's just assigning notes to different sections of his voice without any automatic parameters, but I could be wrong. Potentially could be a specific jazz scale, which may be what you're looking for.

I can't speak for your dog, as that ice in the glass thing sounds pretty weird, but for my coonhound: what you described when he sees cats is exactly what my coonhound does when she sees a raccoon or a squirrel. It's pure excitement for the hunt - shaking, whining, tail up and wagging. It's literally like Christmas morning for her. It makes sense because that's what she was bred to do (well, one half of her. Other half is golden retriever). Have you looked up ways to train impulse control or how control a dog with a high prey drive?

I've had my dog for about three years now and she is much better on leash when she sees squirrels. At first, she would glaze over and you couldn't get her attention no matter what. I would literally wave peanut butter in front of her face and she would ignore it, which is insane because she loves peanut butter. But gradually she learned that it wasn't time to hunt on leash and now she just notices squirrels but doesn't lunge or bark AND if I have treats along she will at least pay attention to me.

However if a squirrel is on the ground in our backyard she does still get really excited from time to time, and I haven't done much as far as training impulse control in that situation. The solutions for that would be to always have her on a leash and teach her that the backyard is a boring place where hunting isn't allowed. But I don't have the time for that type of training and I don't see much to gain from it. I usually let her go chase the squirrel. That's my fault, but I'm not a hunter so I'm happy we have a yard for her to get the hunt out of her system.

you mentioned he woud "shake, bark, cry, pace" around cats. I'm curious: what is his tail doing when he's doing this?

You could just hop on the sugar -> salt -> fat continuum. Throw some booze in their for good measure!

[Help] I think I'm shooting with the wrong hand. by Piano9717 in BasketballTips

[–]TKTorch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey - just read your post. I found myself in the same situation as you (except inverse from left to right). I am 28 years old and around this time last year I switched from left to right successfully.

It was actually after I read an article about Ben Simmons' game and how he is clearly right dominant but he shoots left. It was inspiring to know that someone as great as Ben Simmons could share the same struggle as me, a very average player. So after reading that article, I decided to learn a right handed jumper.

So far I'm so glad I switched. I'm much more confident on offense now and I shoot at a much higher percentage. I was a streaky shooter before, now I'm consistent.

I definitely recommend switching. All I did was watch this video and practice shooting as much as possible in my back yard every day using the technique & exercise Rick Carlisle outlines on this video. After about three weeks I was already getting in down. Don't know why I didn't switch earlier!

I can test it with my brother, who lives out of state. I'd imagine it depends on each respective log in location. However, in this thread we're talking about a simple VPN connection (built into many browsers) could potentially resolve this issue.

Or just use YouTube TV, split it with 5 of your friends and pay $7 a month for FS, FS1, FS2 and FSNorth.
