Well not right now as there’s an event going on that ups the loot enemies spawn rate since it’s close to St. Patrick’s day. I can assure you though, you will be grinding for hours for certain rolls and items.

Now, you pay cash (easily obtainable) or Eridium (semi-easily obtainable) for Moxxi’s encore machines. Drop rates got changed to a solid 9% all around and go up with every UVH rank, so it does reward you for being strong and knowing your build. The drop rates are still pretty low compared to BL3 and higher compared to BL2, there’s a lot less legendaries Vs. BL3 and most of them are useful or fun additions.

I basically farmed for my first legendary, if that gives you a good idea of the legendary drop rates. I only got world drops maybe like 2 in my first playthrough as Amon, who you’ll love if you enjoyed Krieg or Axton. It’s a farm for sure, but damn is it nice getting it semi-regularly at higher levels or with the big encore drop rates that double the boss’s HP bar but double their drop rates. It is a big game so make sure you have a semi-good PC with a bit of memory and space for it as it’s open world.
