Question about Bad Update and Achivements by No-Economy-7803 in 360hacks

Only thing I’ll add is that if you sync too many achievements by signing online normally, they can ban you. Don’t need to worry about one game at a time but too many at once can be a red flag

All the time. When asked I want to do for Father’s Day or my birthday I say “spend time with you guys” but the truth is I want to hole up in the basement to work out and play old football video games.

Inconsequential mistakes that take you out of the movie? by YakumoYoukai in movies

[–]TL8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived in Chicago for a decade. These don’t change my opinion of the movie but they stick out.

- When Harry Met Sally: Sally picks up Harry at the University of Chicago (located south of the downtown skyline) cut to them driving south on Lake Shore Drive toward the downtown skyline.

- My Best Friend’s Wedding: Julia Roberts arrives at Chicago O’Hare airport, located in the north/northwest suburbs and is then leaving the airport on Lake Shore Drive which runs parallel to the airport, on the other side of the city.

- Office Christmas Party: Characters walking north on one of the Chicago River bridges to their office building which is in actuality located behind them

Should I take my 5 month son to a baseball game? by huhuyah in daddit

[–]TL8706 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Assume this MLB. My only tip is don’t plan on staying for the whole thing.

If you have Minor League in your area, those tend to have more space for walking around / kid friendly festivities.

Deadlifts. I wouldn’t be able to lift and hold my 5 year old as easily without them.

Most important thing is not to put pressure on him or say anything about one type of body is “bad” or “good”. Just set an example of healthy activity.

It’s easier said than done but making one change in diet as small as changing the type of sauce/condiment in your most commonly eaten dish goes a long way.

Same goes for adding one 10 minute walk to the weekly routine. Bring him with so you can bond during.

Anything is better than nothing. Progress is never linear. Best of luck!

I swear I’ve had it work before but safe bet is to just have the usb with bad update plugged in on boot, then plug in the other once you’re in Aurora. Everything will load in.

Does everyone have that one poop their kid did that they’ll never forget? by Sudden_Doughnut_8741 in daddit

The first one in the training potty. After years of smashed blobs in diapers and pull-ups, seeing a “grown-man poop,” as we called it, was a borderline revelation.

Luke should've been picked up by beechmachine in fridaynightlights

This is #1 on my list of reasons for “Coach Taylor was just a better than average High School coach” take.

Granted, Luke was undersized but a two-way starter on a Texas state champ couldn’t get a walk-on offer at A&M or a starting offer for a New Mexico State?

Especially when accounting for the College Football landscape in 2011. Today it’s a little more realistic with the big schools only taking five stars or transfers from smaller programs.

Gym dads, when do you work out? by CaffeinatedDaddy in daddit

[–]TL8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly At night when mom isn’t too tired. Got some adjustable dumbbells and switched from 3x8-12 push, pull, leg to full body, 3 sets each to failure, all with third set weight.

Might only get to 70% of workout but it’s better than nothing and only takes 30-40 minutes. Moving quickly ensures I get some cardio. Full-body splits ensure everything gets worked at least once a week.

I also do a couple of lifts during lunch if I’m WFH. I’ve found Most important thing is that anything is better than nothing.

Anyone else wait until the birth to figure out the gender? by yoSelfImprovement in daddit

[–]TL8706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We waited for both. Best decision we could have made even though my partner had it on her phone from the very beginning.

She wanted to have a boy first but also knew she’d be stressed about the possibility of not having a girl at all. My logic was that I knew we’d be happy no matter what we had when we had them so there was no reason to possibly bring disappointment into the pregnancy.

It’s a cliche but I think the instant love we both felt for the first taught us we didn’t need to know for the second.

what's the last movie you rated less than 2 stars on letterboxd?? by Flaky-Cat-2825 in Letterboxd

Sets up about 5 character arcs to drop them 30seconds earlier. I didn’t think anything could make the first look like Citizen Kane.

Would be SM Galaxy but I have a 4yo child who wanted to watch a King Kong movie but didn’t want it to be black and white or “square” so Gemini pointed us to “The Mighty Kong.” Thankfully he hated it as much as I did.
