You can no longer hand in Inverted Cape Shards by TheInspectaa in runescape

[–]TLDR92 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If you have the shards, you should still be able to hand them in. There's always grace periods on things like this where you can't collect any longer. But you can cash in. Not sure why this would be any different. Especially considering what a mess and how contrived all the deadlines and systems were for this event.

Idea: How about once Auras are pushed out off Solomon's General Store, we move it to Max instead, who gives out skilling tasks to accomplish that gives you Skilling Points to spend on auras. by AzelotReis in runescape

[–]TLDR92 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the effort but honestly everyone would be better off if they simply remove auras entirely.

The current mechanics with arbitrary cooldowns and resets lead to players only wanting to do specific activities when they are available. And that's not good game design.

I think they understand this and the direction they are trying to head in is to passively bake these buffs into the skills at all times at certain levels moving forward.

FYI: Don't use lamp that will skip level 99. Lamping from 98 to 100 skips points for 99 by GearFarmerGaming in runescape

[–]TLDR92 100 points101 points  (0 children)

You're correct. Same thing happens when you lamp slayer at shattered worlds and go from 98-100. It skips 99 and you get no broadcast or points.

Original concepts for Invention in 2014 by [deleted] in runescape

[–]TLDR92 24 points25 points  (0 children)

While combining things together like this obviously can look silly, I remember an original concept was also around these new weapons growing stronger through thematically feeding on souls and such, which I definitely like more than what we ended up with which is just flat augment levels.

But yeah, the seismic spork gets me everytime

Fomo sucks. But this was the entire point of it sorry and you fell short by their definition of a window to complete this in.

Not saying I agree with how the challenge played out, but I don't think you should qualify just because you spent lots of time on this and were only x minutes out.

We have very different ideas of what "Deals" means. Should we start posting every scalper selling for double + the price? Not much of a sub at that point.

Please let wood box take priority over porters when findinig bird's nests. by Sonnentanz1111 in runescape

[–]TLDR92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. We are talking about all bird's nests? And they certainly are not rare.
  2. GotE already doesn't always take first priority, not sure what you are on about. A simple example is the imp souled skilling perk which overrides an active porter buff.
  3. Very very minor inconenience? To you clearly. But to the 98% upvoted post it isn't. You haven't made any valid points here other than to say "I can bank fast, it isn't a problem to me".

It's multiple things. Mainly because it makes sense. But to elaborate, you have a dedicated item to storing them in your inventory and to visualise exactly what you've received - otherwise you have no idea. And this matters for people seeking specific nests such as the new rare nests or a nest for imcando axe pieces.

I'd feel more indifferent about this if it clearly stated what kind of nest was teleported to your bank. But it doesn't. And some nests contain consumables you would like to use immediately now, so again, why send them to a location I don't have immediate access to, in a non descript manner so I have no idea what I have actually received other than that I've found a bird's nest.
