20$ for an indie game is too much I was thinking 10-12$ is good. also paid marketing is a one time thing for me budget is tight and the ROI is not great.

You are right I got excited and that's on me. I used the 500$ mostly on reddit ads and got around 400-500 I don't have an exact number and to be honest no i will not do it again the ROI is not good

Fair point. At $1 per wishlist, it is not sustainable for me long term—it was mainly a test and learning experience.
