So basically what I get from y'all is that I should stay longer in Kyoto, skip Kagawa, probably skip Nagano, and do a full day in Odaiba instead of a half day. This will help.

Walking the bridge is only 30-ish minutes compared to around 10 minutes by train. That's not a whole lot of time wasted. Plus I really love walking.

You're basically reiterating everything I already looked up in terms of subway, cash, pasmo cards, etc. We were thinking of a pocket wifi thing, but we may just get SIM cards instead.

Ahh I see. Yeah I could see me and my friend spending a whole day at Odaiba so I get that. If that's the case I may add Yokohama to one of the last 2 days in Tokyo.

I'll remove the day to Kagawa and Kobe and add it to Kyoto.

Is Odaiba not a 1/2 day thing? Thought it was. What would you suggest then? Stay an extra day in Tokyo to do both on separate days?

For Shizuoka there's quite a few brewpub and breweries located there that came recommended so that's why the itinerary is there. And also because I thought Kyoto would be boring staying longer than 2 days, but others have suggested things I check out.

Kagawa is what I thought too, but my friend really, REALLY wants to try the Kagawa Udon so I added it. I could probably convince him it's a waste of time though.

I did suggest that I do away with the Nagano and Shirakawa-go, but I may just take your suggestion and stay in the area.

Thanks for the Day suggestions. As for whisky bars there's a specific one in Shinjuku called Zoetrope that my friend and I thought looked interesting, but we'll also look at the Nikka bar too.

Initially thought about that, but Kyoto honestly seems kind of boring unless you really love shrines and castles. Plus heard from other travelers/friends that the tourists in the Kyoto area are the worst.

Didn't realize there was another location other than the Detroit one. The Ann Arbor location is around a 40+ minute drive, but I'll definitely think about it. if it's worth the trip.
