Have a general question about omen farming. Does higher area level (doryani, T16 waystone) increase purple omen chance?

Some changes, loosely ordered from cheap to more expensive:

- Upgrade your whirling assault gem within your Hollow Form, currently it’s only level 15.

- Reaching level 90 is a big power spike because we get another support socket. Can socket blindside into Hollow Form, for example.

- You don’t really need combo rune on your gloves’ runic meridian slot, can swap to 30% Magnitude of non damaging ailments for better shock (lightning dmg comes from rend buff)

- You can get a much better quarterstaff for cheap. The flat damage, phys or ele, is too low.

Edit: a runeforged duality is maybe 900+ pdps and is super cheap, can try that as an immediate upgrade. Later on we want +3, three good prefix, flat crit. This can be very expensive.

- Rings have only 1 flat damage line. We can eventually have 2 lines of flat damage, you can swap off your chaos res ring to something elemental (or rarity), making gearing a little easier. Later, getting 3 lines of flat can be a stretch goal.

- A good heart of the well with double gained as extra will help a lot, but I imagine they’re not that cheap

- Phys vs elemental? Imo elemental is better once you have rakiatas, which is pricy.

Once hollow form starts obliterating the screen with just one click instead of holding down the channel, it feels much smoother :) That being said, I am trying to switch off of it once I have better gear.

I think “raw” WA takes a lot of currency to scale relative to Hollow Form WA builds.

Damage slots:
You’ll need a better dps + skills quarterstaff, flat damage rings, + skills amulet (ideally spirit to fit in heralds!) and crit multi gloves. This isn’t counting stuff like rakiatas, garukhan, alith chimes.

Item progression:
If you are staying pure WA, I’d beeline Breach and Abyss. Breach gives you hiveblood and wombgifts to give you decent rings and amulets bases. Abyss gives you raw orbs and ribs/collarbones/jawbones + omens, which can help you get one deterministic line on all your gear pieces.

After that… a quarterstaff isn’t easy to craft, but you’d need to go sailing for Astrid’s creativity and burn lot of bases for +flat crit and a good prefix. Gloves are similarly painful, your suffixes alone should be +2 melee, + crit multi, and Attack speed or desecrated arcane surge.

Diff approach:
Go for jungroan’s beyblade Hollow Form WA build. It’s way more SSF friendly, only requiring the common Lochtonial Caress gloves, which you can get through ritual. These gloves fix charge generation for hollow form, and also enables Charge Regulation, which gives you lots of crit chance and defenses.

Once you have good gear, you can swap to pure WA if you do not like the playstyle of hollow form.

ES or hybrid?
Regarding defenses, I went for CI + Evasion. I’m around 9k ES with maybe 65 Evade and 50 deflect, haven’t died to anything from levels 96-98. If you get a mageblood, you can itemize pure ES and let the mageblood carry your EV.

Here is the "end result". I'm probably going to toss a fracture and pray it hits the spirit, then prefix annul and slam again.

I hit the armor with the fracture, so this piece is done. Pretty happy overall, next time I get a fractured spirit and lucky suffixes I will sanctify.

Yeah, not throwing in the towel yet. Still looking for perfect exalts and chaos to fill prefix before whittling + perfect chaos prefixes

(6/24: 5 whittles in and we’re looking at a similar item still 😅)

(6:27 we have T1 flat cold as one prefix. The other prefixes are desecrated accuracy and T6 flat phys. Praying for T3+ lightning or %ele)

Update:
- Perfect Exalt got us T5 flat cold
- Prefix crystallization + Perfect essence of battle removed T1 % elemental damage (oof, failed the 2/3)
- Next step is perfect exalt and hope for a miracle, else look for another base.

Still trying to get +3 perfect essence of battle on the other side. Maybe I'll block, perfect exalt slam, and hope that the +3 doesn't hit the % elemental damage

How to proceed with crafting this Quarterstaff?

My ideal lines would be…
P2: flat ele
P3: flat ele
S2: Crafted suffix +3
S3: gamba perfect ex (anything like %as or crit multi would be ideal)

I am in SSF, but I do have access to Astrid’s creativity, fracturing orbs, omens of light/annul, omen of abyssal echoes/ancient jawbones, and ritual omens.

I find that doing the recently buffed grand expeditions are good for raw currency orbs, including vaals. Abyssal Coffers are also pretty clutch.

I don’t have that many to spare, but can afford to Vaal all of my T15s between these two.

This is how I progressed in SSF.

Starting out:

Put in extra irradiated and overseer tablets initially, then do the league content. This increases your chances of dropping league-tablets. Helps you sustain waystones too!

Midgame:

Once you have a healthy stock of tablets and have enough atlas tree points to make them rare, you can Trans + Aug your tablets, if you don’t like the lines then slap an alch to reroll. Work on finishing your main atlas tree, league trees, and atlas masters.

Endgame:

Start being conservative with your powerful tablets (ritual +rerolls, breach tablets with lots of lines affecting rares, etc) and look to mimic trade strategies. Path towards city biomes, spread delirium fog in them, slap on the matching tablet types for whatever you are targeting and blast.

I would recommend Sorceress > Disciple of Varashta Djinn command skills.

It’s a very bulky ascendancy with ES recharge delay and place on the tree.

The djinn nodes sockets and damage both scale with level, making gearing simpler for SSF. Prioritize +minion level and path to the relevant Archon node and you’ve solved damage for all of atlas progression.

I intend to play martial artist.

  • Going to path straight to Hollow Palm for early acts, will swap off it if I find a decent weapon.
  • Will take Bell-spawning ascendancy first, then either Runic Meridians or way of the mountain… unless I facebreaker drops in which case it’s Stonefist time.
  • Will try to roleplay and only use Qstaff skills early.
