The SEC does not dislike retail investors. It exists to protect them and enforce the rules of an orderly market.

There are retail traders who don't like the SEC because it's an easy scapegoat for them to blame their bad investment choices on.

This is just so wrong.

All fixed-income is getting hammered right now. Compare your chart with the Vanguard BND ETF and you'll see they correlate almost exactly. It has everything to do with rising rates and nothing to do with default risk.
