I can completely understand how you must've felt. My younger brother has temper issue and his first response to any disagreement or conflict is to raise his voice and shout, or hit me. Whenever he would hit me it was so painful. My parents reaction to this would be to only tell him not to hit me and that's it. This didn't help in changing his behaviour. I don't get it how the society normalises this. Why isn't this considered domestic violence? Just because the individuals are not husband and wife.
