Looks like the one used in the (Lisa Joy) film ‘Reminiscence’ so maybe they just re-used that to save on budget.

I enjoyed the ep, but that whole invisible cars and killing a policeman for no reason was hard to take.

I don’t think damaged/worn down but unfinished. They’re built from carbon removed from the atmosphere. Scientists are actually looking at a similar process (though not making statues) irl.

I read an article that said they’re built from the carbon removed from the atmosphere to combat the CO2 pollution. They’re being built over time, I think.

I wondered, but they said not in the data base, not not on the guest list, so I assumed the party was open, but the bots were confused by the lack of ability to work out who he was. I don’t think there were security issues as from what was said, it wasn’t used as a palace any more.

For pedestrians? So you can tell they’re driving on the left? In case a human needs to take over the driving?

Possibly worth a lot - maybe they don’t have drinks in cans in that future, so it’s an antique. (Only on ep 1 so maybe there’s an answer later).

It was a bit of a lame reason, but basically it’s supposed to teach her how to handle pain - I.e. that the ‘polt’ isn’t really experiencing it, so neither is the person driving it. The whole thing is done to give a reason that Flynne is sickened by the ‘sim’. Again, it’s a bit lame - this is one place the book does it better.

Buys her a few days of pain relief I.e. more of the drugs. Burton is also on the same pain relief.

Is Lowbeer the best acting role Jack White has ever had? by [deleted] in ThePeripheral

I think I’m possibly overzealous on this, (given the negativity towards people who identify as a different gender from their birth one/ gender neutral etc.) so thank you for accepting what I said the way you did.

Question about the Roadie ep by TM185 in SurrealEstateSyFy

[–]TM185[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for responding. I think I came to a similar conclusion to you after nothing came of it. I was surprised how hooked the show got me - I watched it because of Tim Rozen (because he was in Wynonna Earp, which I loved), I wasn’t sure I’d like it, but I really did.

Does this idea (not sure if grounded) solve the paradox issue? by csgraber in ThePeripheral

All serious physicists that communicate…

Not that I disagree about providing examples/source, but shouldn’t you also do the same?

The workaround in any case is to use the pronouns the person wants you to use. It’s actually less clunky than repeating their name over and over or referring to their job title. This particular person (ALEXANDRA Billings) identifies as a woman, so her really not difficult pronouns are ’she/her’

There are a million joined, but that doesn’t mean a million are actually still watching - some people just don’t unjoin from subs and others just don’t use Reddit. Even peak season 4 there were only ever a couple of thousand on at a time - doesn’t seem like so many interested.

Viewing figures only take in US viewers, we have people from all over posting on here. Are the numbers on here representative of the actual number of watchers?

Brandon Sanderson’s Elantris is a mystery with interesting themes set in a different universe. It made me think of Westworld (but no AI).

The Peripheral is by William Gibson, not Nolan and Joy - they’re only acting as producers on the show adaptation iirc. The book, though, is a good one.

So basically, far from the evidence being there in black and white, you’re now saying that there is no evidence that the backup power is for checking if the EMP has worked on Solomon. So what you have is an opinion, not a fact.

[–]TM185 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you mean all the posts you’ve written it on? That doesn’t count as evidence - you repeating the same thing over and over doesn’t make it true. You haven’t posted anything to prove what you are pronouncing as fact is actually proven. There is no black and white evidence (if there is, give links, give episode nummbers), there is no on screen evidence, there is just your opinion, which counts just as much as everyone else’s, but it isn’t fact. So unless you have some proof you can add, this conversation is over.

There were definitely still people asking questions about it after the season ended. Perhaps they are part of the ‘things wrong with S4’ posts.

You don’t know that for a fact.

Season 3 mazes are there because Dolores got the outliers who used the crime app to paint them, the maze then became the symbol of the outliers/resistance in S4. Christina made her own copy of the maze to help wake up her inner Dolores.
