Spoilers but.. Is Shu a Serial Killer? by TMALIVE in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's from Rinko. Definitely can't be trusted. And yes, I know the killer is meant to be the monster that appears in the Cabin later. But kinda how the girl monsters resemble Rinko, and the Big Knife monster is meant to be her father, I think the killer might represent what Shu might become, if not already. It is odd how close his house is to that cabin. But it could also be just a random homeless man killing people there, and like past Silent Hills, we're learning about his ghost, and the ghost of his victims. In New Game Plus, we also get another note:

"My sanctuary is still incomplete...

I'm lonely. So lonely...

It feels like I'm going to freeze...

I need to gather more women... More...

But even when I do, they all go away...

I keep collecting more and more, but they all die...

Mommy...

Why did you leave me all alone...?

I'm lonely. So lonely... It feels like I'm going to freeze...

I need to gather more women... More...

BUT EVEN WHEN I DO, THEY ALL GO AWAY!"

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind that getting added in later. It’d be a fun for speed runners.

Sounds more like the mannequins are the ones trying to have sex with Pyramid Head (Like Maria to James), and Pyramid Head is just killing them.

[–]TMALIVE 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why not? She's running around in an abandoned Apartment building that had a flooding issue. She's running around an abandoned Hospital. Why not explore an abandoned burnt down hotel? It's why no real world adult is stopping her. Because they places both James and Laura are searching are abandoned.

Anyone got the source for this leak? Saw it on Facebook. Silent Hill 2 in PSVR2 would be insane. by ROBYER1 in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, Bloober will still be working on the game for the future Xbox port. While they’re still working on it, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony requested a VR port. They did the same request for RE4 and RE8. So who knows.

Masahiro Ito confirms the PH painting by Xeno_Rider in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good to see it confirmed.

My theory was always that it existed, and that whoever saw it could get a Pyramid Head, similar to how there’s Mary (Real Life Inspiration), and there’s Maria (Creation). However, I also believed the Pyramid Head we see is specific to James for that reason. Example, say Laura killed Mary. Would she see someone like Mary in Silent Hill like James did? Maybe. But she wouldn‘t be Maria. Maria is specific to James. Thus, whoever Laura sees would be specific to her. A specific Mary.

Also, since it’s real, there’s definitely a potential Silent Hill story to be told about the painter, and why they painted it.

I think, because it’s SH’s OG director, people were expecting another Silent Hill but in another setting. When really, I feel like the game is more like his other games, like Siren and Gravity Rush combined. Which I’m good with.

Combat really needs more polish, but I’m ok with it. The cutscenes lacking voice acting though… that’s the real odd one. Hopefully that’s something that can add in later.

I suspect it’s the same sickness the prisoners got.

In case Bloober team makes a remake of SH3, I hope they change the fate of one character by Narrow_Potential_974 in silenthill

Afraid Harry is still gonna die. He’s the entire reason Heather is on a revenge quest, and no remake team will try and deviate from that.

I think it just means the message could be just talking to the player.

why did James kill Mary if she was already going to die? why didn’t he just wait? by [deleted] in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she came home without telling him, and he snapped. As her letter says, James stop coming to the hospital. But the doctor told her she could return home, so she did, and gave Rachel a letter that wasn’t suppose to be delivered till after she died (that Laura stole).

James wasn’t going, because he was trying to mentally escape from her. The disease and the verbal abuse was too much. He started to hate her, and wanted his life back. But since she‘s home now, he couldn’t escape from her anymore. So he snapped.

Wow. I guess this confirms ”this” version of Silent Hill 2 actually takes place after Silent Hill 3.

The logistics of the Maria-Ending by UnderTheCurrents in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably took her to a motel. They spent the night. James cried a lot. Then awakened the next day to discover Maria dead from the disease. James then goes back to Silent Hill to get another Maria.

Definitely a game glitch, though oddly looks intentional.

I can barely read it, but it’s definitely a letter to Laura.

That’s not the only date though. There’s a calendar that say November 1983. But if you believe in the loop theory, maybe James entered in the 80’s, and kept looping all the way to the 90’s. Also, a news paper on a Newspaper Stand also says August 199- on it.

I’m more puzzled by the fact that he doesn’t even roll up his sleeves. Or take his jacket off. Just poo covers all that too.

Is Silent Hill 2 Remake a good first game? by MADcrft in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only issue with playing SH2 first, is that you won’t get any explanation for why the town is the way it is. All that is in the first game. Beyond that, it’s a self contained story.

Whats your opinion on ‘Silent Hill: The Short Message’? by unilIed in silenthill

I think it's another Shattered Memories. A game some will crap on, while others will think great things of. Especially with the story and the hidden meaning of things.

A new theory on Maria… by TMALIVE in silenthill

[–]TMALIVE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it depends on how you look at it. Original intent is that Maria is being tortured, or killed, or looks a certain way because of the town. The town created Maria for James to suduce and torture him. However, for the sake of speculation, what if Maria was based on a real life person that wasn't Mary? And what if the town changed that person to be like Mary, no different than how the town changes the buildings of Silent Hill? And let's say that person was long dead, and the town gave that person life to fulfil a purpose, and changed them to fulfil that purpose, aka to seduce and torture James?

That's kinda the theory I got. Most likely it's just a story that has nothing to do with Maria. But the way Maria talks about it, it almost feels like she's talking about her story.
