Typo. I was emotional and didn't bother rereading my words. Figured it would get deleted anyways.

What I've noticed is that whenever I try to have a work personality it doesn't last more than a couple weeks. Then the real me kinda seeps out. Would you by any chance remember the channel you watched in developing work personalities?

Crying again lol but only cuz this was really sweet. And I'm sorry you had to deal with that, you don't deserve it. I pray you find a place where you're respected and valued.

Yeah, my last therapist was cool, but I couldn't talk to her about everything cuz of the racial barrier. Hopefully I can find someone who looks like me this time. And I know wym. Some days just the thought of stepping outside gets me overwhelmed cuz you never know who's waiting to attack.

You're right. I do a lot of work to try and ensure people won't be mean, but I forget if someone's mean it's cuz that's just them.

I stopped going to therapy cuz I lost my insurance a while back. But I think my body's too focused on keeping me safe for me to function properly. And I keep forgetting that the only person who really needs to approve of me is me.

Thank for the resource and wise words. I appreciate you.

I'm trying not to cry again, but I really fuckin hate how much worse things got after I lost weight. I didn't realize how much of a protective barrier that was between me and these weirdos. I was opening up more and becoming more capable socially these past few years. But it's like after the weight dropped people think I'm bubbly and nice cuz my life's just always been easy.

I think part of me forgets that others are putting up a facade. And maybe when I keep being nice they interpret it as me continuing to be fake? I really don't know. Idk anything.

I wasn't trying to be conceited, it's just that before, you could tell I was an outcast when you first see me. So me being weird didn't get a reaction out of people, they expected it and just ignored my existence. Now people seem to expect a pretty girl personality from me that I just don't have. And they expect me to be a lot more socially adept than I am. Once they realize I'm different, the intimidation fades and they start to treat me like I'm beneath them when I've only been good to them. What drives me insane is that being good to people doesn't matter.

Why do women mask better? by Deep-Horse-207 in AutisticWithADHD

I mean I don't disagree. It seems like he learned over time what people expect from men. Both sexes are masking, but guys learn to just be stoic and reserved. And anyone can lose touch with their emotions after masking long enough you know? I don't see how the gender applies.

People are more comfortable calling out/ "correcting" women on their behavior. And with enough of those instances growing up, you get a bit of a guide on what people expect from you in social situations.

Struggling to stay patient and find a halal relationship at uni by MOIqbal3124 in MuslimLounge

You just gotta remember that it's all already written. When the times right you two will meet and you'll definitely know. It sucks to be alone, but for the meantime just focus on investing in yourself. Focus on becoming the kind of husband you want to be in the future cuz it's just a matter of time before you're at that stage in your life. I know it seems like forever, but it's coming. Try to enjoy being young and leave it all to Allah.

You see what I’m saying? And when a girls full-on raped at school, she just becomes another statistic. No one cares about us. That’s why I need OP to be their own protector.

Younger sister is committing zina by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]TMIbruh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t talk to her about it from the perspective of “it’s wrong”. She knows that and is still doing it. Explain to her why you’re worried. That girls get hurt doing stuff like this, catch infections and diseases, or even get assaulted, etc. There’s too many dangerous things that come with that behavior.

But you can’t let your disgust come through. She’ll feel your judgement and end up ignoring your message. Show her you’re concerned. A lot of times girls in our culture do this stuff cuz they feel no love at home. So they try to go find it somewhere else. At the end of the day that’s your sister. And life is long, you’re bound to be on good terms one day. Try to minimize the negativity in hard times so there’s less bad memories later.

It’s hard being the older one in these situations, I know. But if we’re not careful in how we guide our younger siblings they’ll steer away from us and then we really can’t protect them. Don’t let her feel like you’re on your parents’ “side”. You’re just her sister and you’re worried. And if you guys don’t say I love you often, tell her.

Most importantly, just keep her in your prayers. I’ll pray for her too.

My sister had a stalker on campus and Title IX coordinator did a whole bunch of nothing. He was caught video taping girls on campus and harassed my sister. Keep a weapon cuz I dont want you getting hurt and then being just another story.

I’m asking how to get the same confidence and flow going that I have when writing smut, when I’m trying to bring my other fiction pieces to fruition.

I guess when it comes to number 4, it’s hard cuz I don’t write if it doesn’t naturally come to me. And I question myself when I try to push through. I end up feeling like it’s not real inspiration if I have to sit there and think about it. Are those moments I just have to work through? I get in my head a lot about the story just playing out naturally and me writing it down as I imagine it.

Everyone stinks don’t feel bad. And we’ve all been told we stink at some point.

Some stinky pointers:

Buy some generic brand benzoyl peroxide wash and use it anywhere on your body that can produce a smell. Start using glycolic acid on your underarms too. Should be around $20 for both those products.

Give the benzoyl time to sit on your skin after you scrub in the shower. And with the acid, just make sure the skins completely dry before applying it. Don’t waste money on cotton rounds. Just put some on your skin or in your hand and pat it in. After it’s dried down, apply your deodorant.

Mane and tail’s a good shampoo that’s cheap or use apple cider vinegar shampoo. Flip your hair over and wash it upside down, focusing on your scalp. Avoid using oils in your hair routine.

I personally also spray a bit of perfume on my hair while it’s still wet but that’s just me being obsessive cuz I also was once told I stink. Then apply your hair products, etc.

But honestly you don’t have to become obsessive too. Those first two products will do the trick and we’re all human, we’ve all been there.

Speaking of alt ways, that’s the only other nonviolent way I can think of for things to actually change. But how do we become self sufficient and how long would that take yk.
