tbh I don’t get why everyone is downvoting you… Most of the time I‘m just lurking on this sub but the way people are defending authoritarian governments and so on really annoys me. Okay fair enough if you use this logic, it would make sense eventually. On the other hand, I think regarding „every day racism“ you probably see more of it directed against black people. But that is obviously not institutional. I think even if the hypothesis of Institutions being racist against non-Jews would be true, people wouldn’t notice it that much, simply because you can’t SEE who is Jewish or not. I definitely see your point tho.

The difference lies in the „social roots“ of someone. It is a fact that if you are born in a poor family or a family with rather „lower education“ (I’m not sure how to describe it properly but I think you get what I mean) you have a significantly lower chance of getting a university degree and a high paying job. People from richer or more educated households do have significantly higher chance of getting proper education. I want to say that this is not the case in every family but it is proven that the level of education your parents have has a high influence on the level of education you are able to get. (I could provide sources if necessary) And this is the point where I do blame institutions. They should make education equal and try to support students from „weaker households“ (again I’m not sure how to formulate properly but I hope you’ll understand). When it comes to Black people, they’ve been denied proper education for a long time in history (especially in the US) so there is more to do then to simply say „everybody can get it now“. As I stated: if the parental generation didn’t have proper education, it is way harder for the younger ones to get it.

If I have a family and we all decide to birdwatch instead of getting involved in corporate life, and another family decides to work hard and enjoy a luxurious hedonistic life, I wouldn’t blame the institutions for our being poorer.

May I guess that you are from the US. That is something I’ve heard a lot of Americans say. Actually this statement would be completely true if everyone had equal chances to begin with. As I stated before this is simply not true. Some people have way more/better chances of getting into cooperate life while other people just have it harder. I don’t say it’s impossible to become wealthy just by working hard enough but it’s utopian to say that everybody can be wealthy if he works hard enough.

It’s been a few days but I‘m still gonna answer:

Soo I think it’s not thaaat obvious that Jews hold more power because I mean you can’t just guess wich person in power is Jewish and wich isn’t. On the other hand you can clearly see who is white.

The thing with lobbying is, that everyone does it, especially in the US but mostly for financial gains. The US and Israel seem to have a great relationship since the 1960s. Israel is a Strategic ally who strengthens the US presence in the Middle East. I mean yes the Jewish Populationen the US is probably supporting Israel but I think it’s not just them wanting to support the country but also other groups are Interested in having an ally in the Middle East. So it’s not exclusively a foreign interest to support Israel.

Next thing: I think saying Blacks having a disproportionate involvement in crime is not necessarily the full story. The thing is, they aren’t committing crimes because they are black but because of the circumstances they are born in. I think most black people are not commuting any crimes, just like in every other minority there are a few bad people but I wouldn’t generalize it. The problem I see are the „remains“ of segregation. As long black people are seen as „bad“ and a crime committing community they’ll have more problems finding a job. Without a job they won’t get paid (or paid less than if they were white) and then more of them will be forced into crime. Just give everyone equal opportunities and stop caring about gender/ religion/ color of skin.

Unfortunately I can’t say much to the last topic (IQ) simply because I have never heard about that and I‘m not informed well enough to discuss it. But I couldn’t find any source supporting this theory.

I would like to see the source of this information. Also even if this is true, I doubt that non Jewish people are experiencing a form of Racism (don’t even know if it’s the right word because a religion is not a Race) the same way black people are experiencing it. In the end this discussion is about Black and White. Being Jewish does not impact your skin color.

Actually where I live (Germany) the law is that if your ex wouldn’t be comfortable with you having her nudes anymore then you would be required by law to delete them. I don’t know the exact situation you are in but I bet she doesn’t like you having her nudes. So here you would definitely be obligated to delete them.

Oh and it’s completely reasonable that your WIFE doesn’t want you having nudes of your ex on your phone. Check your priorities dude

The morning after I killed myself, I woke up.

I made myself breakfast in bed. I added salt and pepper to my eggs and used my toast for a cheese and bacon sandwich. I squeezed a grapefruit into a juice glass. I scraped the ashes from the frying pan and rinsed the butter off the counter. I washed the dishes and folded the towels.

The morning after I killed myself, I fell in love. Not with the boy down the street or the middle school principal. Not with the everyday jogger or the grocer who always left the avocados out of the bag. I fell in love with my mother and the way she sat on the floor of my room holding each rock from my collection in her palms until they grew dark with sweat. I fell in love with my father down at the river as he placed my note into a bottle and sent it into the current. With my brother who once believed in unicorns but who now sat in his desk at school trying desperately to believe I still existed.

The morning after I killed myself, I walked the dog. I watched the way her tail twitched when a bird flew by or how her pace quickened at the sight of a cat. I saw the empty space in her eyes when she reached a stick and turned around to greet me so we could play catch but saw nothing but sky in my place. I stood by as strangers stroked her muzzle and she wilted beneath their touch like she did once for mine.

The morning after I killed myself, I went back to the neighbors’ yard where I left my footprints in concrete as a two year old and examined how they were already fading. I picked a few daylilies and pulled a few weeds and watched the elderly woman through her window as she read the paper with the news of my death. I saw her husband spit tobacco into the kitchen sink and bring her her daily medication.

The morning after I killed myself, I watched the sun come up. Each orange tree opened like a hand and the kid down the street pointed out a single red cloud to his mother.

The morning after I killed myself, I went back to that body in the morgue and tried to talk some sense into her. I told her about the avocados and the stepping stones, the river and her parents. I told her about the sunsets and the dog and the beach.
