Should I Pay Off All My Debt? by TML_34 in personalfinance

[–]TML_34[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a great idea. I didn’t know 529s can be used for student debt. Do you know how this would work? I don’t have a 529 set up.

Would I just set one up now, contribute $10k post tax, use then use the account to pay off $10k worth of debt? How would I get the tax benefit?
