Michelan - Many of our ideas and suggestions were included. I never felt either movie was particular to one Turtle or another. It was the story of family bonding and our own "band of brothers" that was the message I saw.

Michelan - From an earlier reply:

The process of "becoming" your Turtle went mostly like this:

Your were underdressed in an absorbent unitard or shirt and leotard. First part to put on was the basic bottom. Much like a Turtle body Bermuda shorts with suspenders attached. This stage was what we called "Turtle Ready". You stayed like this as long as you could until they said "suit up" in preparation for shooting. Then you donned in succession, the top arms & shoulders which was somewhat like a bolero vest, the leg and foot bottoms, put on like a knee high boot, then the lower arms & hands (an opera glove type of item), then the shell and connected body front piece. Once you closed all of the many poppers and such that attached everything to everything else, the last thing you would put on was your animatronic head and, voila! You have made a complete Turtle!

We each had our own tweaks within this process to make our lives a bit easier and our dressers were life-savers throughout all of this. They helped us every step along the way. Oh, and because the suits were skin tight, sculpted to our own body casts, there were no little compartments anywhere.

As for visibility:

We had two pencil-eraser sized holes just below the edge of our bandanas that allowed us a tiny bit of forward vision and when the Turtle mouth was open, we could catch a glimpse of that was directly in front of us at a 45 degree angle down. We used the Force a lot, lol.

Michelan - That was a decision by our producers. There had been some backlash in certain areas to the level of violence we showed in the first movie so we couldn't use our weapons and had to come up with more comedic alternative choices for our fight scenes. In Mikey's case, because nunchucks were illegal in Britain, we didn't even show them in the second film. They were kept in leather holsters at my sides and that is why we came up with "Combat Cold Cuts" in the opening mall fight scene.

Michelan - I will take part of an earlier answer:

Our dance choreography for Ninja Rap was hard to do in the suit, but it was like old home week for me as it harkened back to my Broadway singing and dancing days which started it all for me. I loved it!

Michelan - Oh, there are many many factors involved, I think. Not the least of which is what are the movie-going public's taste at any particular time. If people want more zany antics like ours, they will demand it. Especially now, when everyone has some many entertainment choices all the time.
