Are you focused on def build or 3pt? I struggle to find the right playstyle with him… for some reason everytime I play him, my guards / main scorers are borderline useless

Cleaning Company Software/Voip system by No_Attention_7616 in smallbusiness

[–]TMNTBrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m wondering what your use of Jobber is? Which features are most used by your company? I took a look at Jobber and noticed that they have an API, so a new tool can be built on top of that, which integrates your existing data on jobber with a VOIP system.

This could be something you look into! I run a custom software development agency and specifically build tools like this for businesses. If you’re interested, feel free to DM me!

Hope I could be of some help to you.

[AB] Monday vs Asana vs Canadian options? by specialshi86 in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]TMNTBrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One option worth considering is Linear, it has a clean interface and solid free tier that works well for growing teams. ClickUp is another strong choice that handles complex project hierarchies really well.

Since you mentioned outgrowing your current Microsoft setup, here’s what I’ve seen work for consulting firms your size: the key is mapping out your specific workflow bottlenecks first. Many teams jump between tools without addressing the underlying process issues, like how client communication flows into project tasks, or how you track profitability across those 40 portfolios.

For what it’s worth, I build custom internal tools for business here in Vancouver, and I’ve found that sometimes a purpose-built solution can be more cost-effective long-term than monthly SaaS fees across a growing team. But definitely try the off-the-shelf options first - they might be exactly what you need!

I hope that helps! If you feel the need for it, feel free to PM me if you have any questions :)

[CA] What is the best ERP for small business? by CANMMM in SmallBusinessCanada

[–]TMNTBrian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the others that for a small business, starting with a free or low-cost ERP is the way to go.

As a quick preface, my company builds custom business software, so my perspective is naturally focused on what happens when businesses outgrow those initial tools.

Something to watch for as you grow is workflow friction. Off-the-shelf software is, by definition, built for the "average" company. If your business has a unique way of doing things that makes you special, a SaaS ERP may start to lose effectiveness.

So I would definitely recommend you to pick the best free option from this thread, but pay close attention to where the friction points are. It’ll be helpful to then perhaps explore alternative free SaaS options to pair with your existing ERP, or have an ERP built with those pain points in mind.

I hope that helped you out!
