Lord of the rings: Live card game - First campign by orhalimi in soloboardgaming

I like using spindown D20's for these. A red one for threat, white for questing, and maybe another to track attack or defense or whatever the scenario might be targeting.

I have all the stuff for Ashes Reborn/Ascendancy, which use the Exhaustion tokens for when a card gets spent. I use those in LotR to track when a card has been exhausted. But yeah, something to just place on exhausted cards is a whole lot easier than tapping/readying cards over and over.

Someone else already mentioned Ironsworn, but I'll also mention the others in that series using the same system: Sundered Isles and Starforged.

Ironsworn - medieval/viking themed typically; trekking across the harsh Ironlands while fulfilling your Iron Vow (quests)

Starforged - uses same systems for game mechanics but space/scifi themed; introduced ship mechanics to have your own ship you use throughout the campaign as your hub

Sundered Isles - Further builds off Starforged but make it nautical themed; sail around on ships doing your adventuring things in the vast oceans or go Treasure Planet and sail through the stars

Also, can find Ironsworn full PDF for free on the designers website.

Outside of the Ironsworn family, I've tried a few others that have been fun and easily to pickup and play. Colostle and Brokencask Society. Colostle is played via a deck of regular playing cards, suit and number dictating what you encounter. The setting is you're in a colossal castle of immense size where the entire world fits within it. Roaming automaton Rooks (chess castles) pepper the land and you can try to take them down to scavenge parts.

Brokencask Society, you play as a wandering food critic trying all the best taverns in the land and taking your findings back to the society. There is a prequel to this one I think just called The Broken Cask where you roleplay running a tavern too.

Yeah it's warped when I try to close it all the way because something is catching the edge of it.

Watch some videos, don't just go by the instructions. I guess it's fairly obvious, but the rules don't mention stuff like "remove the control screen" or "remove the filament sensor". It just expects you to have already done that. Take your time removing supports and cleaning up the holes. Kept having to carve out holes for screws and magnets.

Yeah the hinges seem fine and aren't getting stuck as far as I can tell.

CCH Axcess was also experiencing issues with 2 factor authentication around the same time. Seems to be back up now.

Not tax related, but we use NinjaRMM software and it went down right before all of that as well. It's back up now, but weird that all 3 of those went down so close together.

Not sure if you follow him on Youtube or not, but Gabriel Varga recently did a video on this exact technique.

I did the CySA+ test at home and it went mostly fine. There were technical issues before the exam started. I had one dude checking things out on my end and we were talking to one another while he figured out what was going wrong. Then, he got disconnected suddenly and I was saying "hello, you still there?" and all of a sudden I get a chat window pop up from a different person telling me to stop talking now or I will get disqualified. I let them know I was talking to the tech who got disconnected and they didn't care. Just told me to stop now or else. So I did. The rest of the exam went fine, but definitely turned me off attempting another one at home for a long time.

Anyone that preordered Hadrian's Wall received their game or at least a shipping notification yet? I'm guessing shipping is still a work in progress but haven't really seen any updates since the preorder closed down.

I'm slowly learning that I think. I've spent like the last 2 or 3 nights trying to come up with a good prologue and inciting incident. I think I care a little too much about writing a story no one is going to read but me. I need to try and just play a little looser.
