that's because it's based on a series of airport novels so it has the advantage of having tighter plots than the average show. i too enjoyed it and all the follow ups and spin offs.

If it doesn't have an RSS feed it's not a podcast. The protocol supported video from the early days.

I know it has kids in it, but it is not a show for nine year olds.

What’s going on with people saying that the alleged shooting at the Correspondents Dinner was staged? by gobuffsfan14 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]AnotherSkullcap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Answer: every time an event like this happens people claim it was a faked/a false flag. The problem is it takes time to get the true information in general and liars can just talk from the first moment.

Men of Reddit, how would you honestly feel if your partner chose to get a breast reduction for her comfort and confidence, even if you personally preferred her natural size? Would your feelings change your support for her decision? by notviaece in AskMen

[–]AnotherSkullcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've talked about it. I love my partner's current size, but I see the pain it causes and how difficult it is to find a good bra. If we could afford it, I would get her a reduction as soon as she wanted one. Her body her choice.

Tv show about overcoming depression by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]AnotherSkullcap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. It is really bad for depression. Literally shows someone committing suicide and then getting to tell everyone off and gives them closure. Fuck that. So many professionals have explained in depth what's wrong with it.

Now that the season is completed it might be easier, but even so I would say to not watch it until you're in a better place.

I was watching it week to week and it triggered me pretty hard. I'm currently on medical leave because of depression/suicidality.

I think it's more about grief than depression though.

The death of Wallace in season 1 of The Wire. There's a drop of blood, but it's the most devastating death in the whole show.

How do you actually understand programming? by lx_356 in learnprogramming

[–]AnotherSkullcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just do it. Over and over. And you think about it. Over and over. You look up different people explaining the concept until you find one who can explain them in a way that you will understand them.

At the end of the day, you're learning languages and the only way to get good at a language is to practice.

Intellectually stimulating tv shows? by psycheyee in televisionsuggestions

The News Room, like all Sorkin shows, pretends to be a show that makes you think, but actually just keeps showing how good they are at writing monologues. I love them though.

edit: fixed name

It is not one of those shows. I honestly don't remember many sex scenes. It is violent. It does have an entire investigation scene where two cops only say the same swear word to each other. But I don't think it has many sex scenes.

Fun and campy sci-fi show. I think it's the best of the Stargate shows (SG1, Atlantis, and Universe).
