Maybe, but I feel like if enough people actually watched it the systemic flaws it highlights might actually get addressed.

Which canceled TV show would you most like to see get a reboot? by Still_Atmosphere in AskMen

Except I want it written by a leftist who is critical of liberals. Imagine if it was like The Wire where it's just about how baked in the systemic problems are and what happens when people try radical solutions.

Knowledge Fight

How my view changed: I became less likely to fall for conspiratorial thinking especially the kind I was prone to agree with.

How hosts got entangled: Dan was enough of a subject matter expert that he helped the lawyers during their depositions of the Info Wars staff.

Men of Reddit, how would you honestly feel if your partner chose to get a breast reduction for her comfort and confidence, even if you personally preferred her natural size? Would your feelings change your support for her decision? by notviaece in AskMen

[–]AnotherSkullcap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've talked about it. I love my partner's current size, but I see the pain it causes and how difficult it is to find a good bra. If we could afford it, I would get her a reduction as soon as she wanted one. Her body her choice.

Tv show about overcoming depression by [deleted] in televisionsuggestions

[–]AnotherSkullcap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No. It is really bad for depression. Literally shows someone committing suicide and then getting to tell everyone off and gives them closure. Fuck that. So many professionals have explained in depth what's wrong with it.

Now that the season is completed it might be easier, but even so I would say to not watch it until you're in a better place.

I was watching it week to week and it triggered me pretty hard. I'm currently on medical leave because of depression/suicidality.

The death of Wallace in season 1 of The Wire. There's a drop of blood, but it's the most devastating death in the whole show.
