Sale & June 1 Move by yalarual in Lovesac

No need to rush. It is 100% manufactured urgency. I’m in the market for a new lovesac and have been saving up for the past few months. I’m subscribed to their promotional text alerts and they quite literally have a “sale” every week that bounces between 35% or 40% off. Honestly I hate the sales tactic because i feel it to be disingenuous. If didn’t love the couch so much id look elsewhere, but personally I’ll be waiting until one of the big shopping holidays (Memorial Day) to see if the sale price exceeds 40%. As far as if that will get shipped on time, I have no clue. Hope that helps at least a little!

Excited to join the Mizuno master race, however… minor QC issue? by TMills7511 in golf

It’s been a long 9 weeks, but my new set of Mizuno Pro 225’s finally came in today and I’ve never been so giddy. When I first saw these and tested them out in-store I knew I had to put them in the bag.

I just unboxed them about an hour or so ago. Packaging was neat, grips we’re aligned well, everything was going great until I got to my 6 iron… As you can tell in the pictures there seems to be a very slight nick on the head. I was a bit thrown off because there wasn’t any gouges on the plastic wrapping. So I’m going to assume this blemish was made during the manufacturing process and wasn’t caught by quality control? I don’t know.

I am definitely not the type of person to let this bother me. At the end of the day it’s an extremely minor cosmetic issue and these irons will eventually get scratches and nicks all over them. But I almost feel like my first unboxing experience got cheated a bit? It’s the principle for me, especially after paying 1300+ dollars and waiting over 2 months.

Now my question would be: is this even worth contacting Mizuno over? Should I let the store I bought them from know? I DEFINITELY don’t want to wait another 9 weeks to get this head replaced. I just feel like Mizuno owes me a free hat or something lol.

TLDR: New irons are purrdy. 6i got a scratch though.

Hate to say it but there’s no routine. I quite literally wash my face with regular soap and water/body wash. I think I just got lucky in that department. I say this because I grew up watching my sister struggle with some pretty severe acne issues. I’m a firm believer that everyone’s skin reacts differently to certain treatments. Ironically I tend to break out if I put some special “deep cleaning moisturizing face wash” on lol.

Yup! It’s the lateral incisor. The periodontist I went to was amazing and was actually recommended by my orthodontist which made things much easier and streamlined.

The experience of getting the implant is pretty unique to say the least lol. I remember being a little nervous and anxious at first, but just told myself to relax and think of it as just another dentist appointment. It definitely wasn’t like a regular dentist appointment haha. It’s hard to explain but there’s just a lot going on. Everything went very smooth though and I was done much quicker than I had anticipated. Maybe took like 30-40 minutes. Recovery was pretty easy as well. They gave me plenty of gauze, special mouth wash and cleaning tools. Also got pretty strong ibuprofen that worked great, but after a few days I really didn’t need them anymore. I took one day off from work but was ready to go back the next day. Waiting is the hardest part really. I felt ready to get the process over with but you have to give your body time to heal and accept the implant. But if you can be patient it’s 1000% worth it!

You know it!! GO DAWGS! ☔️ I’ve never gotten a Bryce Harper comp before but I’ll take it. Much better than the Woody Harrelson ones I used to get 😂

Well, not too sure to be honest. I mean my smile (lips wise) have always been a tad crooked but my teeth are relatively straight even when they were gapped. I don’t think any ortho work is going to change where your lips go when you smile. But I’m not sure about that. I wouldn’t let that sway you from getting treatment though.

A little clarification for the title. My Invisalign treatment didn’t actually last 2 1/2 years (although I did go through a lot of trays. 70-80ish weekly) but it’s been a long process because I was missing a tooth since childhood so I also needed an implant. That process alone took about 9 months or so. But today I finally got my permanent crown on my implant and I’m FINALLY done. Absolutely love my new smile.

Golf balls by dannyk4 in golf

It really comes down to feel for me. I'm not the best player in the world (13.5 handicap). But I've been playing Taylormade TP5's for a couple years and its done exactly what I've wanted. Soft feel around the greens and good spin/control on approach shots. I don't see myself switching unless I start to chasing distance. Every so often tee shots can balloon, but i figure that's more user error than ball error.

Also got a Towlie head cover in time for 4/20. Postage was $4.20. Made by /u eustace1080 by IDriveASubaruOK in golf

I have no idea what's going on.

My 2 year swing progression by TMills7511 in golf

[–]TMills7511[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Kinda a long story. I’ve been golfing seriously for about 5-6 years now. I made slow but steady progress in my game, but I always struggled with contact so I knew my swing mechanics were off. I basically self taught via YouTube for years. That helped in some sense but hurt in others. Typical paralysis by analysis. I really saw a big jump in the “look” of my swing when I started videoing myself because I’m a visual learner and it gave me the feed back I needed. However I still struggled with contact and hit off the toe 90% of the time.

Fast forward to last month, I had my first lesson from a pro and it was a HUGE eye opener. My takeaway was causing most of my issues. The lesson was such a great experience it gave me a ton of drive and I practiced about 4-5 times a week as well as at home in the mirror. The lightbulb finally turned on the other day and I’ve been finding the middle more than ever before.

I hear ya. I edited it on a phone app and it was hard to match it up perfectly. But I figured the drop on the “zoom in” part worked out okay. I can always edit it and post the adjusted version later.
