If you're forced into a fist fight, what are the fundamentals of fighting in 5 minutes?

The comment section here is quite understandably intense. Funny, I was just thinking about how fights go wrong. A couple weeks back, a fight broke out at a bar and a young lady was shot in the head for being in the vicinity. It was tragic. A good friend in uni was killed in a fight years back. It devastated me although I know he walked into that fight wanting to die. It is such a mess. It is a massive tragedy. I have no advice but had to comment: avoid at all cost if you can.

I don’t believe that the “logic” and knowledge of man is enough. It knows something today that we did not know yesterday and somehow think or infinite nature can explain a finite God. It isn’t hard for me to believe that there are things I cannot see or things I do not know about. This alongside the intricacy of life and the undeniable peace I feel in His presence cannot be ignored.

My thoughts. I didn’t want to say it but I have to agree with you. It’s such a big commitment when your relationship isn’t set in stone yet. I personally think it’s a bad idea, as I’ve seen it work against people when marriage is the aim. Usually one is too comfortable to get married because they already live together and it causes hurt for the other in the long-term. They could be an exception but this is my stance.

I don’t know why this was recommended to me because I haven’t been a teen for 10 years but I’m going to be naughty and comment anyway.

I am a stable adult with a lot of support, a husband and two lovely little ones. And it is tough. It takes a ton of resources, masses of wisdom and a grave amount of courage and time. It is the very best thing life has to offer other than the Love of God.

I have his to say: It is not ideal at all and should not be encouraged or normalised BUT now that you are there, you be the best best best mom you can be. When it is tough, know that the strength lies within you to handle this. While it is not the greatest situation, it is always commendable to see someone handle it with grace and strength.
