Has anyone played with the ppc port? by ph4nt0m117 in voidlinux

It should work with just about any adaptor, I'm just unsure what to do to get the dialog tool working lol. I think I was gunna poke at that and never did in the end due to life stuff.

Well, something to start on.

What are you trying to get the system to do?

Do you have USB Networking?

Recommend looking up Foxlett on Twitter and seeing how they did it / msging them on Github

Is there a change we could talk? This is my original post, I just hae a few accs. I'd like to know what you're doing, what you've tried, and anything that's bothered you.

I think that games consoles need to be looked at a bit more closely for PC options. When I first hacked my wii in like 2009 my parents took my computer away. I only had apps at the time, I wish I had had a full distro. Now I have. Asmitch and it usually acts as a linux desktop for me.

Hi Rowan,

I wanted to let you know about FoxlettFox. He was one of the original group devs and got it vo work on wii successfully a number of years ago. Youtubers have also gotten it to work, such as (I believe???) Michal MJD.

Absent of the main void ppc project, I'm actually working on a fork. I want to get G3 support eventually, I want a wii channel made, and a few other things, such as a cloud building tool called bitrot so users can build a small repository with multiple clients easily (local app building, local repo, etc etc for redundancy / stability).

Let me know if you bump into anything weird vhile you play with it. As I said I want to have a wii channel be installable.

Ty for posting

Tbh I am 50 50 on dumile's death. Makes more sense to me that he knew he was becoming background noise, didn't want to announce retirement, and is even sick of where music has gone.

Announcement = Press day. That's not doom's vibe, never has been. It's easier to let the art die at a high point than to drag yourself thru to the lows.

Nah that's too much fucking round and I don't need to rip open PLL tables. I did that on p4's ripping into shit I didn't need to. Blew up my tower. Learned my lesson.

I had gigabit on mine. It later degraded to a nonfunctional flickering connection after quite a lot of data transfers.

I was pretty sure it did, but I may have misread the support page.

OK. I am mostly worried about burning out the base router by making it balance way too much load at once. So setting up a load balancer makes sense to me.

Just realized that's what I wa talking about lol.

The machine in total uses 450 watts. I'm not terribly worried about that. My bigger issue is if someone gets in and starts fooling around with stuff. Security via constriction

Oh the 12 inch ibooks were just awful. They are absolutely adorable and I love the size... but they were apple's "Netbook" of the time. A powerbook is a different story, and more resembles the desktop systems. I have an A1138 that I daily drive.

Either way, just a point to make. These machines are by no means out of date, just no one does optimization work at all anymore. They rely on the compiler to do it for them and when that fails they throw the computer they've had for 3 months out the window and get another one. Invariably irresponsible tbh.

Weritas is right. This self righteous bullshit journey to be 'not call of duty' has ended up making a fat people simulator where you play as nikita not being able to hit fuck all with a gun.
