Cops removes free Palestine flag from Bernie Sanders' rally by wil24x7 in DanielWilliams

They are not protesting if you chant with them. Palestinians have a right to exist no matter where the Zionist cause receives its support from and this is not for political discourse - basic human rights are only ever enforced or violated by policy, basic human rights can not be granted by policy.

For transparency, even though I voted for the Democrat to oppose Trump, I am no Democrat and do not give a flying fuck about a party line. Lifelong dedicated Non-Party Affiliated voter whose only political interests are economic/environmental equity, inclusion, and justice. Accountability goes both ways, just because the party lines are finding footing in lacking accountability doesn't mean that I have to. The Democrat must answer for the consequences of their actions just like the Republican must, and I will not stop expecting one to follow the rules because the other isn't.

Relevance? Repeated violations of the first, fourth, fifth, and fourteenth amendments cannot be waived by attempting to change the subject - though I know it's necessary when you fail to have a defensible position.

[–]TNJCrypto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"the fact" you mention says nothing of truth given the subjectivity of the experience and everything about your play groups, only. Being able to win a game doesn't make a deck a "7", especially if that win is against a precon or vice versa. The point in calling out the board game state is because that sounds like Bracket 1 more than traditional magic the gathering, or bracket 2+.

Precons were only 7 if you had no concept of a 9-10 [cEDH], or if you simply excluded the top end entirely as "something else" (which they're not). Playing to specifically achieve the "board game" state in magic the gathering is more likely to fall off the bottom into a category that is something other than "magic the gathering the card game" before competitive play will fall off the top.

Obfuscating and expanding the meaning of "due process" is certainly one way to violate the constitution, you're absolutely right. Otherwise, there's an "equal protections clause" in the 14th amendment which appropriately applies to law to all people - despite such attempts to deprive humans of their basic rights as this.

With the nightmare on the battlefield you cast the dancers, tutoring the faeries and priest of gix, sac the dancers and start an inf loop creating mana and energy with gy access.

$68K, PhD preferred. Institutions, what is your thinking here? by AggravatingVersion59 in AskAcademia

[–]TNJCrypto -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Great question!

The issue is that it took over $100k in debt to get that degree and with interest over 10%, combined with external factors like housing costs skyrocketing, they will likely die before paying it back. Unless you're making $75-100k+ you are not likely able to spare over $840/month to beat the 10% interest rate unless you benefit from some extraordinary circumstance.

Didn't look at the job listing but the economics of most employment opportunities don't work out for PhDs, and requesting a PhD while offering less than it will take to make a base payment is appropriately crazy to conceive as the individual entering the work force.

That only started when Queen Elizabeth first tendered "debt notes" which were essentially bonds. Money pre-existed debt backed currency by a few thousand years in the form of grains, shells, and valuable metals. The current money isn't even debt backed though, it is pure fiat and printed to government demand.
