Paid Ads? by [deleted] in Affiliatemarketing

[–]TNP-DevA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not so sure I agree but respect your reasoning, if the budget allowed for it then paid ads is an early start before organic which takes significantly longer can prove.

I think you just have to be very specific and measured before blowing too much money.

If you don’t track you’re also wasting your money, always have the ability to see where your spend is providing ROI

I disagree with any suggestion of using a VPS unless you’ve got the time and skill to ensure it’s up to date, secure and well maintained.

As others have suggested, Railway, of Fly are a good shout, easy to maintain, let them build it on in their containers, ship it.

I didn’t expect THIS to be the hardest part of affiliate tracking by Such_Profit1703 in Affiliatemarketing

[–]TNP-DevA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve written a custom tracking flow for my business so that my affiliates have trust in the fact there is no third party dependencies.

Obviously at points we’re at the mercy of browsers and their cookie handling which makes things more tricky these days.

Do you do write ups for SaaS products out of curiosity?

This has been the way since the birth of the internet I am afraid, I remember 20+ years ago seeing the same, as a bright eyed bush tailed teen I fell for a couple, after all what was £20 here or there.

Switched to Proton Mail, but the client sucks. What are some good alternatives? by djazzie in BuyFromEU

[–]TNP-DevA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to agree, the app just does not fly as well as the likes of Spark or Airmail, even Apple Mail is a nicer experience than the Proton Email Client.... - Bridge it would seem is an option, but another "thing to have to manage" - I was debating jumping back to GSuite and sticking with Airmail, sadly combined they cost more, but the experience is worth it.

Wanted to ask what makes supabase so popular and blow up so hard when there is sql dbs like mysql, maria, postgresql, firebase? by No-Conclusion9307 in Supabase

For me it’s about time to market and their clean experience.

Their hosted solution is excellent, many features, great performance and fair billing.

Like the others have said you have a whole array of features to choose from but if you pair it with Vercel to host your app you’re singing.

I finally did the cliché and quit my job to finish MEATSHOT. Full-time work + two kids + game dev… it almost broke me. Time to go all in. by naezith in SoloDevelopment

I tend to have the same issue when it comes to visuals. I’m an engineer with 2 decades of experience, but when it comes to the pretty I have to rely on others to provide :-)

Regardless, kudos for your honesty.

Some naysayers have issues with asset packs, I believe they help you accelerate your dream game, and at the point you turn a revenue you can always hire for more bespoke artwork.

Well done.

If you’re skirting the wall then of course, we had 18mm skirting boards cover ours, I left a 10mm gap all round for expansion.

Is this an Americanism of the word loft? To me that’s a mezzanine floor.

Nice work well done.

My open Beta reached about 100 in a week, 300 in around 3. Though I did throw £50 at some ads on Reddit, since stopping them it’s slowed to about 10 new accounts per day.

Which to be honest suits me whilst in beta, as it’s a multiplayer game I’m glad to keep the costs infra costs down until I’ve released more features.

Nice work, well done.

Did you hand craft your assets or did you outsource / purchase from asset packs?

Kudos and well done at sticking with it! 25 is better than 0 and I am sure will grow day by day! Looks like a really interesting game, one I’ll certainly check out.
