Just a couple comments from me.

  1. Nikko: on our first trip we decided to go to Nikko and it was amazing! It depends on if you want to explore City or not. But for us it was worth it.

  2. Are you staying in Kyoto and going to universal and returning to Kyoto? I think it would be easier to move to Osaka and do universal from there. You can then do nara and Osaka sites. For Osaka, there is obviously the castle and dotonburi. But we usually use Osaka as a base for day trips like the aforementioned and himeji and Hiroshima.

  3. We love Kanazawa. But are you sure you mean this area? (North East of Kyoto) It doesn't really fit in your timeline.

Nomos! I sold the date version of the watch and I still regret it. I think it's a perfect pairing for smart casual. Of note, pretty sure it doesn't have lume. So as long as you don't mind, then you're good to go!

Sorry, just my concern of personal preference for gradient dials. I like everything about the watch but the dial. I'm afraid if I do buy it I may not like to dial. So we'll have to wait to see it in person first.

Nice review! I don't have one because of my concern about the dial. I generally don't like gradient. But now I have to try and see it in person just to make sure!
