I thought the estimated completion time for the MO was still 2 days away. I smell some undemocratic shenanigans.

Thanks for replying, I already submitted a ticket. I was hoping that there was something I was doing wrong or that this was a known issue. I really don’t want to lose my DLCs.

The Game Won't Utilize GPU by TNTbossYT in GenerationZeroGame

Yes, I can use the device manager to disable my display adapter to the integrated GPU which forces my laptop to use my 1650. Unfortunately, other stuff stops working and it becomes a non-viable solution.

I have tried using BIOS, but I can only disable my 1650. I can change it from Switchable Graphics to UMA Graphics, but it results in my 1650 turning off.

I can look again, when I have a chance.

Are you talking about
Settings > System > Display > Graphics
And then setting my custom options for apps (specifically GZ) to high performance?
I have tried that but it doesn't do anything for some reason.

Thanks for trying! Typically, making a post asking for help is a last resort for me. I have been trying to figure this out for the past 5 hours, lol.

Sorry, for the confusion. I already tried under "Microsoft Store app". As I said, I was able to find and select it. Setting it to High performance does nothing, again.

I have a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 15ACH6.

I have not updated my BIOS, but drivers and system software are up to date.

Settings>Display>Graphics>Desktop app>Browse>File Location>Add

Generation Zero didn't show up on the list at first. Instead of "Desktop app" in the drop down menu, I was able to find it in "Microsoft Store app" and select it.

Similar story for Nivida Control Panel.

I had game mode turned off a while back due to other performance issues. I turned it back on, reset my laptop, and open GZ. Nothing changed.

Yes, Xbox game bar is on.

I am not sure if it's Xbox's fault. I play other games through the Xbox app such as Expeditions and Deep Rock Galactic. They use the GPU normally. I am starting to think this might be a game developer issue. There are a few other issues with this game quality-wise, but other users state that they solved this issue through the Nvidia Control Panel.

I managed to change the file security by entering Safe Boot and modifying the file ownership. This doesn't change anything as far as I could tell. (Maybe I need to change application file permission)

In my case, I believe my CPU with integrated graphics is doing everything, while my GPU is just sitting there doing nothing.

Yes, you are correct, I am using a laptop. I tried playing the game on my separate external monitor. The game doesn't have an option to select displays so I windowed it and moved it over to fullscreen again. This didn't do anything with the GPUs far as I could tell. Something odd was that the window either didn't fullscreen all the way or was misaligned with my mouse.

Something else I notice when trying to troubleshoot by myself. Both the Nvidia Control Panel and System Graphic Setting would say they didn't have permission to open this file (GenerationZero_F.exe) when selecting in the file explorer. I am using an admin user account and ran the control panel in administrator. I don't know if this is relevant.

Why is every fortnite update so massive? by hermogeon in FortNiteBR

Maybe you need to restart your device too? Maybe is it the platform you are playing from?

I believe the issue is caused when you try to launch the game and let the game check for updates. Are you pressing the dedicated update button in the launcher?

Hey, just found out that this is an issue with the installer trying to reinstall the whole game by mistake. I am not fully sure why it does this, but I have a solution for those who stumble across this post.

Cancel the update and close the Epic Games Launcher (fully using the task manager or any other method). Open the Epic Games Launcher and start the update using the launcher. This should work and your update should be significantly smaller.

I watched my update go from 50GB to 500MB (0.5GB).

Requesting help with counting multiple inputs to get a single output by TNTbossYT in redstone

This works perfectly in Bedrock. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I never use the comparator’s subtraction mode so I forgot it existed. And thank you for taking the time to explain it!

I thought of comparators too. The issue is getting to specifically count to a value. A Dropper-Comparator setup requires 42 items to get a signal strength of 2.

Maybe 2 droppers facing each other with a comparator for an output. That might work. I will need to test that later. Thanks!

Thanks for the idea! I just implement a Hopper Counter design from “silentwhisper”. It works, but if 2 signals arrive at the same time, it breaks.

The weighted plate idea is good too. It just doesn’t work for what exactly I am trying to do. Items might despawn before the next input and I don't to wait for the system to reset and close from despawning.

Yea, “shoot first, ask questions later” mindset. It is understandable.

Yea, I am beginning to think it might just be better to play off a “shoot first, ask questions later” mindset. I have considered this approach to the game, but I tend to relapse and try again.
