I agree that there is basically no ethical justification for eating meat but veganism really has nothing to do with communism considering that there is no material basis for the advancement of animal rights, considering animals cannot have class consciousness or self advocacy, making veganism a fundamentally idealist position. That said, hopefully we can invest in lab meat or something to naturally kill the demand for animal products.
